Thin, but carry all fat in thighs!

So here's the thing - I've always been very thin and fit, but every ounce of fat on me gets stored in my thighs. I'm wondering how to "tone up" this area. I understand many women have this issue (weight stored in butt/thighs area). I'm not trying to lose weight (I'm 115) just trying to tone up. It's weird how I can be so thin but still have cellulite!!! WTF?

Toning up the muscles will help only so much, sadly there is no way to target fat loss! I suggest doing some weight training to tone up and also that will keep your weight stable, but otherwise, do some regular cardio and watch your diet and you can lose some of the cellulite.

/often times just eating a better diet will give you a reduced cellulite look. I watched a Dr. Oz show about it and you'd be amazed with the results.

Confused about how I can eat a better diet. For a year I've given up fast food, pizza, burgers, most red meat, junk food in general. I occasionally have a chocolate bar or ice cream, but that's rare. I stick to the Mediterranean diet -- lots of veggies, fruits, fish, nuts, whole grains. I'm eating very well and I'm healthy.

Maybe just do some lower body weight training with a low weight. I'm sure you look great though, 115 is teeny. I'm sure the cellulite you do have is not bad.

unfortunately, like Bonnie said, you cannot "spot treat". Any fat loss that occurs in an all over body kind of thing. Cardio and light lower body workouts to tone will be your best bet.

Also, I'll TOTALLY trade body types with you. I can't get fat on my hips or butt to save my life... I'm bootyless!

I know this isn't going to help with the "fat" but for cellulite, have u looked into any body products out there to reduce it? I've been using nivea goodbye cellulite for 3 yrs and it def helps. Obv once u stop using it it returns but for summer I add that to my daily routine. I want to try fatgirlslim by ( I think ) swiss. It's at sephora.

have you ever used an elliptical? i lovee them. i'm always on one at my gym. they will seriously tone up your legs and thighs. my thighs BURNNNN after only 10 minutes. look into it!

Thanks, I do think exercise is just the best way to go. I do a lot of cycling and Zumba; I can try the elliptical or a stair machine or deadlifts with some weights.

LOL, I think I look so strange. I've always been thin, but within the past couple years I've just developed these hips/booty - I look like a spoon! No boobs. :( I think my measurements are 32-24-36. (Needless to say, I'm what they call "pear shaped" - but more like a stretched out pear!)

I am going to suggest this and I'm sure someone will nix it, but dang it, it works! Delfin Ceramic Spa Shorts and St. Ives Cellulite Gel. the hip adductor and abductor machine as well as the leg press are kick butt for toning below the waist. the elliptical is also amazing.. its one of my favorites

Yep!

When fat goes onto the body it doesn't discriminate where on the body it goes! Most people gain fat in some common areas (stomach, hips, thighs, etc.), but for some people it gains more in one place than another!

When it comes to fat loss it boils down to calories out vs calories in. PERIOD.

When trying to transform your body in any fashion it's 80% nutrition and 20% exercise! That is, how much each has an effect on your body! Some people will even argue 90% nutrition!

With that said, for strictly losing or gaining weight, it's calories in vs calories out. HOW HEALTHY you are is based on WHAT you eat. HOW BIG your are is based on HOW MUCH you eat :-)
