Itchy bumps from tanning bed?

I have been tanning for over a month now at Sun Tan city. I use all four level beds they have. I have been using Supre Love Struck accelerating lotion and I have not had a problem until just recently. My right elbow started to itch about a week ago but I continued to tan. Three days ago after I tanned I got these small itchy white bumps on my forearm. I haven't been tanning since and now the bumps are on the right side of my stomach and a little bit on my left forearm. I am not sure if the bumps are just from overexposure or if maybe I had a bad reaction to the cleaning product. I would really like to insight. I would prefer not going to the doctor but i may have to if it doesnt clear up soon. Attached is a picture of my right forearm.

Re: Itchy bumps from tanning bed?

I got these before. I think I heard that it has to do from over exposure, and excessive drying of the skin. It could just be a heat rash.
However, I really doubt it's a reaction to the cleaner, because you would probably break out on every part of you that touched the bed.
When I had them, they just went away after a few weeks. All I did was keep putting lotion on it.

My friend had those EXACT same bumps on her chest. She switched lotions and they gradually went away.

Sounds like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miliaria

I get it (especially on my legs) when I first start up tanning after a long break from the beds. It will go away. Mine itches like crazy and the best thing I have found to help with the itch without drying the area is Aveeno's Overnight Itch Relief Cream. It's moisturizing but relieves the itch.

Re: Itchy bumps from tanning bed?

I got these same small white bumps on my legs only just recently, and I have been tanning on and off for a few years. Never had this happen before but it worried me and i was about to go see a doctor, your picture is Exactly what is on my legs. I did change lotion around the time the bumps came up but it is a lotion I have used a few times in the past and it has never done this. Going to try that Aveeno lotion mentioned before, hope it goes away, it's embarrasing and itches like crazy.

I've had em! They seem to only occur in one specific spot time after time, and I notice when I tan and its an extra hot bed (someone was in it before me) I tend to get them. Only thing that makes them go away is moisturize moisturize moisturize! Try polysporin?
