Sunspa

I have just recently started tanning at Sunspa in Virginia Beach, VA. My girlfriend (kgymn) has been tanning there when she is in town. The people are very friendly. They talk to me everyday to try to help me into it. They even ask about my girlfriend and when she is coming back in town. I am definately happy with them so far.

I'm glad you found a salon you're happy with... Those seem to be hard to find around here. Hope you enjoy your tanning there!

Re: Sunspa

It does seem hard to find, I was lucky that kgymn is down here all the time looking at them and she goes to this one a lot. So she brought me along when I told her I wanted to start.

Re: Sunspa

I drove around for a couple hours one day just checking out a bunch of salons in the area. I did check out Sundays, but when the woman showing me the salon showed me a bed with fluorescent bulbs (a level 4 bed) and told me it was all UVA (either that or it had no burning rays, but I'm pretty sure she said all UVA) I got turned off to them. Nice salon, clean friendly, good atmosphere, good lotions. But if they want to tell me a fluorescent bulb isn't giving me and UVB they're crazy.

I also didn't recognize the type of bulbs they had, and now I am forgetting the names on them. Melvelous- next time you're there, check it out for me please?

Sunspa I like. I started going there before I drove around to all of them, and it is still one of the better ones I saw with reasonable prices and a good lotion selection.

Plus they made a great impression when the SECOND time I went there they remembered my name, that I live in CT and that my BF lives in the area. And I'd not been there for a month- month and a half.

Initially, I was impressed because their info doesn't just say, "12 minute bed $X" is actually said WHAT the bed was, by name, and how many of what watt bulb plus the max time.

Re: Sunspa

well beds vary by sundays location. The level 4 at my soon to be place is a hp with a mattress 10 minutes each side. The level 5 is also a hp but it has bronzing lamps in the lounge and hp in the canopy. thats probably the one she was showing you. its the soltron shark

Re: Sunspa

I know she showed me both a true HP and one with fluorescent bulbs and said both were all UVA. She showed me the fluorescent one first, then the HP and pointed out specifically the different bulbs so the first wasn't an HP with fluorescents on the bottom. She also specifically said it was a level 4 bed, so I don't think it was the shark.

Other than that and not recognizing the bulbs, the place was very nice, clean, friendly, loved the lotion selection.

Sunspa is just closer (within walking distance) and I also am really impressed by the staff and everything :)

Hey Mel how is your place treatin ya. They just put up another one of those on the corner of Dam Neck and General Booth, would be nice because I could run in during lunch. But I am too happy with my current place. Plus I think they are going to hire my girlfriend.

3 Facial tanners at 500 watts each
Extras: Reflext neck tanner, Soltron fan
additional face ventilation

but anyways i still havent tanned there. i will probably start the middle of next week. im very exited:D. Im going to go to the location on holland road which is where i have started to sign up for my membership already. Then i can go to any of the 6.
