SunStar beds, are they any good?

They're offering an unlimted monthly in them for $40 a month. I've never it before. when I saw it it looked a little dinky. i'm used to the s-class and the higher beds. Will i still have some color if i use it 2x a week?

Re: SunStar beds, are they any good?

The salon I go to had these, and they are all i use. At first I was like OMG these look like they're going to suck, but I get the BEST color from them. OMG! I love them, you should get dark, I only use them and I am dark.

$40 is also a great price. I paid $35 for a month unlimited but it was on sale, the normal price is $45 at my place.

They are ok, it depends what kind. I have tanned in the ZX32-3F and I liked it, I think that is a pretty good deal..As long as the bulbs/bed is well maintained I would go for it!

You may want to pay for a session and if you like the color, buy the package.

Not bad beds from a tanner's standpoint.Really it depends on the lamps in them.

It was the 432, 12 min sessions. They have something called bronzing magnium lamps in the bottom of the bed. can't tell if I got any color yet, though. I couldn't figure out how to turn the thing on, it wasnt hooked up to t-max. i finally hit the green button in the bed and it went on lol

I use this one mainly at my salon, not the newer kind, but a model from probably 2000 or something. It gets me very dark. The one I use has curved acrylic at the bottom, but I like how the newer SunStars have flat acrylic on the bottom.

The one I just used had the same kind of curve to the acrylic. I actually liked it though, it allowed my back to breathe a little

Most ETS beds with built in timing systems tend to beep the last 3-5 seconds of the session to let the tanner know that the session will be ending soon

Yup, I love that! It's good to know, especially when I'm falling asleep. I wish my ETS bed at home did that, but the timer is just the old fashioned, dial kind.

Re: SunStar beds, are they any good?

I find the beeping noise unnecessary, as I stay awake the entire time anyway!

But back on topic, I think that sounds like a good deal for an unlimited package. I've used the bed before and liked it, but like someone said earlier, it really depends on the bulbs in the bed. If you like the color you get from it, then go for it!

Re: SunStar beds, are they any good?

I have used the bed 3 times before..I am pretty pleased with the results, I guess. I'm so used to big beds, every time I go to close the canopy it comes down so close to your face i get scared lol

Re: SunStar beds, are they any good?

they aren't the roomiest beds but the one salon I was going to had them and I did get good results. As long as you know the salon is good about maintaining their equipment then that's a good price for unlimited.
