Salon was robbed!

I went tanning today and the owner told me that they were robbed Sat. afternoon right before closing.
A couple of guys came in with guns and demanded money. There was only one girl working there and she opened the til and gave it all to them of course. They maced her and when that didn't work good enough for them, they hit her to try and knock her out.
Pretty scary.
I didn't even ask if there was anyone tanning. Maybe not since it was at closing time.
The girl is ok and will be back at work tomorrow. I don't think I could go back.

Wow, that is scary! I always close by myself late at night so that would concern me. I live in a fairly safe town so I don't really worry about it that much. Where do you live if you don't mind me asking? I am glad the girl is okay.

That is very scary, I hope she's ok. I could never imagine that happening at my salon, I have that alarm buton under the counter but I would panic so much I would forget to press it.

wow thats crazy... I've been freaked out ever since I came to open the salon one morning and the whole key hole was gone all the person had to do was push it to the side and they would have got in so I'm wondering if they'll ever come back hopefully not.

That is really scary. I know a lot of salons that run with only 1 person working at a time and that is just not safe sometimes.

thats my biggest fear, to get held up. i dont work in a salon, but i work in a grocery store, and we often have HUGE amounts of money in our safe, and, we do have 3 hold up alarms (2 buttons under the counters, and a dollar that we can pull in the cash drawer) ive never had to press an alarm, but im SO afraid ill have to...esp. around halloween, always afraid someones going to come in wearing a mask or somethin.

That is really scary! I hope the girl is ok. I was in a bank when it was robbed last year and I was so freaked out by it.

I wouldn't go back and if I did you can bet your arse that I wouldn't go back that soon. That's ridiculous.
