Still new to tanning so excuse me if this is an obnoxious/dumb question. Why would you want to feel like you are on fire when tanning? Are the results from tingles that great that it's worth the pain (in some instances)? I've seen people say that Body Shots (and others) "lit them up" and they "were on fire for hours." Hearing things like this makes me smh and become utterly confused. Can someone please explain? Thank you in advance. And, again, sorry if this is a dumb question.

Well, tingles do give great color if you can handle the heat. I like the color I get from tingles, I just didn't expect it to be that hot. That one was too hot for me! The more mild tingles I can handle just fine.

While tingles do get hot, I do not find them unbearable. In fact, stubbing my toe or getting scratched by my cat bothers me more than a tingle!

Ok, now I'm less afraid of tingles. I thought that they all were "light you up" hot. Maybe I'll have to try one. I'm kind of worried about being red after tanning, though. Does it usually last long? Or it depends on the strength of the tingle?

Depends on the strength of the tingle. Start with a mild tingle (you can search or ask here for recommendations). The redness shouldn't last more than an hour or two.

Some people will also mix another lotion with a tingle to dilute it a bit, but I personally don't mix lotions.

Swedish Beauty Hot Green Tease
Supre Snooki Ultra Hot Dark Bronzer
California Tan HD Moxie/Designer Skin Betrayal (these two were about the same for me, as for the levels of heat felt)
Australian Gold Risque Ritual
California Tan Ionyx Hot Triple Bronzer
Ed Hardy Body Shots

I love body Shots, it still gets really hot on me, so between that, Ionyx, and Risque... I don't feel any need to go hotter... plus I don't think Id be brave enough to go hotter than Body Shots just yet anyway! lol!
