questions

I've been tanning for about a month and a 1/2 now. I'm definitely darker in my mid-region and legs. Working on the face and arms. But that is taking longer. I'm learning a lot about this tanning business.

My question is, however, I want to continue getting darker, but want to know if I will still get darker if I go twice a week vs 3 times a week?

I guess I have two questions...do you also start to plateau if you continue to use the same bed instead of moving to a better bed?

Re: questions

Hi and welcome to the site! You will definitely build more color if you go more often per week (every other day is ideal) and if you rotate through various beds and lotions that you have. You kind of pick it up as you go but there are ways to break a plateau. But for now, go up a bit in frequency and start rotating and you will notice quite a difference!

Re: questions

thanks! when you say rotate beds, do you mean different levels? at the place I'm going to they have levels 1 - 5. Maybe this is the same everywhere? Not sure...

Re: questions

Rotating between levels and beds will help break the plateau that you are experiencing. Depending on your skin type most people can maintain their tan with 2 sessions a week and need 3 - 4 sessions a week to continue to get darker. The beds and lotions that you use, can also play a factor in the color you will get. Not all salons have 5 levels and not all salons consider the same bed to be the same level. Bed ABC may be level 3 at one salon but be level 4 elsewhere. It all depends on what the salon has to offer. Welcome to IAT.
