Re: Hunting Season.

There's a reason psychologists say kids who kill animals for fun grow up to become serial killers... I'm just sayin'.......

I kid, I kid.

Kind of.

I say anyone who kills things for fun is ****ed up.

Oh i have something seriously whacked to say, there is a guy in jons class who hunts bear.. LIKE WHO HUNTS bear :(!!!! they might be mean, but frig leave them alone!!! he hunt it for the meat too i guess ive never heard of eating a bear? thats so gross.. this whole topic make's me cringe just because im soo against it!

Re: Hunting Season.

I'm more against factory farming than I am hunting for food. Hunting for thrill is a whole other thing, though.

Re: Hunting Season.

Hunting for food I have no problem with... Some people rely on it...but the whole "Ima' gonna go gets a big buck dere in da woods" annoys me to no end. Yeah...let's shoot a deer because it has big antlers and then feel like we're awesome and brag about to anyone who will listen it until NEXT hunting season...I could go on and on. My family owns a little gas station and I work there about once a week to help out and that is ALL I HEAR ABOUT ALL DAY LONG. The worst part is when they brag about gutting it. I have heard some disgusting things. Here's a good example-

Sport hunting is a complete waste.... "I took out an 8 point last year, gonna get my 10 this year. We've been feeding them corn at the stand for a month now should be good to go when we get there. Har Har Har" LOL, seriously "feeding corn at the stand" is NOT even sport!!! Booooo Hissss!

Re: Hunting Season.

I'm with Jess on the killing things for fun being f-ed up. I'm not into that. That's why I target shoot instead of hunt.

However, I CAN understand that without hunting season, the deer would take over Upstate New York, no exaggeration.

Re: Hunting Season.

Actually, most deer hunting involves the use of cars.

In the fall here in Maryland, you see many deer on a typical evening drive in the suburbs. Plenty of road kill as well.

The annual dollar cost in tremendous. The deer huggers always mention hunting accidents in their efforts to stop hunting. For every hunter killed each year, dozens of drivers die. Typically, deer kill about 150 people per year.

I agree! What a lot of people do these days isn't actually "hunting"...they just sit in a stand with a bait pile beneath it and wait for the deer to come...I thought hunting was looking for something, or tracking it?

Re: Hunting Season.

I went with my father and brother hunting once as a teen and it only took one time for me to know i didn't like it. I don't have the ability to sit in some deer stand for hours and i talked too much lol

Re: Hunting Season.

Wow, that's weird that so many people around where you live are into hunting for those reasons. I know a few people up here who hunt, but it's only for food, and they only go like once a year, and only until they get like 1 or 2 animals. Fishing is a different story, there's always fishing...heck, even I've done that. Always for meals, no trophy kind of killing at all. That just seems weird to me. "Ooo you killed a big ol' deer, you're my idol"...?

As Jesse Ventura said: "You need to hunt something that can shoot back at you to really classify yourself as a hunter. You need to understand the feeling of what it's like to go into the field and know your opposition can take you out. Not just go out there and shoot Bambi."

WTF is that thing? Men have such issues with women's menstrual cycles and they buy things like this.

The Butt Out! sounds like something that should be sold at Adam and Eve. Sorry but it does boys. Maybe name it something more hardcore and macho. Like toting around big guns, scopes and feeding the deer so you can shoot them makes you a big man! Oh yes, baiting the 10 point buck makes you such a macho man! Sit on your a** and feed the deer corn, of course they will come. Then you can prop up that big rifle and shoot it then brag to all your friends that "I shot me a 10 pointer today Bubba! Wait til I hang 'er on the wall, the old lady will be proud!" The old lady would be proud if you made better use of your time dumba**.

Get a 12 pack, a gun and a beat up truck then we will talk about hunting. Better yet, let me get out my hot pink fishing rod (b/c I really do own a hot pink fishing rod and use it when I get the chance) get a 12 pack, we can talk about hunting while we fish and after that, you won't even think about killing Bambi. See, I have this all figured out.

Pretty much. I'm from Flint. They hunt each other. :P My family is full of "sportsmen" (read: hunters and fishermen (and snowmobiling/boating/etc.)).

Teehee. My first fishing pole was an orange and white Snoopy one when I was little. (They tried to indoctrinate me as soon as they could.)
