There is a tanning salon in Orlando, Fl called Genuine Savage Tan. There is something seriously wrong with that salons bulbs. I have tanned all my life and have a farily dark olive complextion and got the *&#* burnt out of my face in a 9 minute bed.
I have talked to other people that have went to the same place and had the same experience.
Avoid Genuine Savage Tan in Orlando, FL!

Did you tan the full time?Maybe the lamps were new.I know even at my darkest,I have to go a little shorter session in a bed with newer lamps.I think you should give some more info before you slam a salon on the internet.

Like Summerstan said, the bulbs could have been new and they forgot to tell you. If you're burning cut back on your time. You don't have to tan at the maximum time to get great color.

The salon is actually in Altamonte Springs. The beds all look quite old, and this happened to me on 3 different occasions using all different beds. I dont consider what I wrote "slamming a salon", I just want to let people know about what happened to me so it doesnt happen to them. I also have had friends go to the same salon and get burnt bad. The bed is a 9 minute bed, and its not a high pressure bed.

Maybe they're using the wrong bulbs for the amount of exposure time? Did the bed have a facial? I know in a facial there is blueglass and if that is even the slightest bit cracked it could seriously burn someone.

As long as the bed is well-maintained how old it is really doesn't matter. I've tanned in older beds before and got great color and never burned. If it's just your face that is burning try covering it with a towel (remember to use your eye protection uv can still get through) and for a couple minutes take the towel off. If you build the amount of time your face is exposed to the uv, you shouldn't burn. If it's your entire body that's burning, you're at the wrong exposure type for your skin type and need to cut back on your time and gradually work your way up to the max time.
