Hello all,

I recently read this article http://www.sunless.com/safe/melanotan2.php#melanotan

I'm going to excerpt something from it:
"Many questions are still unanswered. For instance, how effective would Melanotan be for redheads, whose melanocytes produce the less effective form of melanin, red-yellow pheomelanin? As one redhead asked me, 'Would it just give me more freckles?'"

I was wondering, do all redheads produce this red-yellow pheomelanin? Is this type of melanin another of melanin another name for freckles or just the color of a redhead's pigmented skin?

I'm a redhead myself, and I'm not sure what to make of this. I have very few freckles (only a few on my shoulders) and it is difficult for me to tan, but when I do, my skin turns more of a golden brown color, not a redish-yellow . Can someone clear this up for me?

My skin turns a redish-yellow when I tan, and I'm a redhead, so I don't know. OOPS, I'm not a pro either..sorry.
