You could try Luminary Faces by DS or just use a sunless tanner made for your face. that's what I do :) and while it is somewhat of a pain in the butt, I don't mind too much and if it prevents wrinkles in the future, i'm all for it haha.

Also, if you use a bed w/ facial tanners, try lying backwards every couple times (put your feet under the facial tanners) or switch up w/ a bed that doesn't have facial tanners.

This is what I was going to suggest. If I use a bed with HP facial tanners a lot my face tends to be slightly lighter. Always best to rotate your beds. A sunless tanner maybe an option but if your not keen on that I would suggest a face powder bronzer.

Good ideas, the face is hard to keep as dark as the rest of you because it tends to exfoliate faster (washing, makeup, etc.) That's why there are special lotions and facial lamps.

I use Surface lotoin for my face. It's the first and only one I've used for my face, but its been working so far.

little FYI: facial skin contains 1/3 the amount of melanin as the rest of your body. And as stated earlier; usually, face skin is washed more often therefore exfoliates faster. Most makeups and many lotions contain SPF, so check your bottles. Recommend removing all makeup and at home lotions from face prior to tanning, use a quality indoor tan accelerator or bronze lotion: DC Surface is my favorite but DS makes privillage which has bronzers (so faster tan color), using any unit with HP facials will increase and darken facial pigment faster. You should see you face begin to "catch up" in tan, in the meantime a facial powder bronzer should help

I also whole heartedly agree about scooting down or laying at the other end so that your face is under the florescent bulbs. In only three sessions my face is already as dark as my body. :3

Way to put it! I totally agree!

I don't get it. If the florescent bulbs tan your face better, then why have face tanners?

Yeah good question! I wonder that too.

I was thing the same thing....

Is it a fact that the florescent bulbs at the other end tan better then the Facial tanners? You would think that the Engineers that designed the machines would get it right?

Ok, so I just went tanning & decided to test this "turn around in the bed" theory. I went for 12 minutes in a Level 3 bed. The last 5 minutes of my session I turned around and to be honest, it appears as though I got a bit more facial color. This baffles me. I was thinking about doing a full 12 min backwards tanning session tomorrow to see how that turns out.

UV lamps contain higher amounts of UVB (reddening, melanin activating) rays. HP facials have higher amounts of UVA (browning/oxidize) rays. So, when laying under the lamps, you will notice redder, more immediate color. HP facials will give you deeper, browner tan. In the long run, HP facials will develop a deeper, darker, longer-lasting tan.

Yep. Thats why I say switch them up. You get the UVB you need for your face to help produce the melanin and the The UVA to "deepen" the color. I wouldn't just stick to one or the other, switch it up. I like to lay backwards two session in our most basic bed and then the third session I go in the H.p. or the med and lay under the facial tanners.

My face is so much lighter than my body. I've started to notice pigmentation and uneven skin tone. Time to start covering my face again and get back to the chemical peels.

I couldn't agree more...

In fact, Im not even super concerned about my face matching exactly 100% with my body's darkness. My mane objective is always to have a perfect body tan...mainly to look good with a shirt off at the beach/pool, or naked for intimate times. I think its normal for the face to naturaly be lighter than the body anways.

Im more concerned with my face having an even tone and pigment as you mentioned, and having healthy-looking, moisturized skin!!!

I seen some pics of tanners Who are so dark, and their faces, too...where it looks more entertaining than attractive. LoL...like they took a bath in shoe polish!!!

I've only really noticed the hyperpigmentation over the past year. Skin damage really is accumerlative. Fortunately I've not noticed many wrinkles but hey hyperpigmentation is not a pretty sight. Self tanners help my even out my skin tone. I use spf 40 on my face under the tanning bed.

Good move....in fact I was just planning on starting to do the same thing. It makes sense to use spf on your face, if your concerned about looking your best long term. I'm mean either way you face will eventually get tanner, if you're tanning consitantly. It may not be as dark as your body, but in the long run, it will be healthier, and even!
