Ive been using speed of light and revival by designer skin but its not getting me that dark. Does anyone know of a great bronzer that will give that deep dark tan?

I love Fiji Blend Nano X as a great bronzer but I haven't seen that many reviews on it. Also make sure you are rotating beds often to achieve the best color.

Other than rotating beds and lotions there really is nothing else you can do.

Genetics play a big part in it, so you probably won't get that dark unless you have some darker heritage in you somewhere. Also, Designer Skin bronzers tend to be really light (non-existant on me), so you may want to try a bronzer from another company if you want to go that route. Also, rotating beds like the others have suggested helps.

For a lotion, you may want to try Supre Smoke Black. As far as bronzers go, it's pretty dark.

My rear end is as white as the pure driven snow. Actually, during the winter months I am very pale, except ween I take a winter holiday, then I hit the tanning salon before I go. For 3 weeks, I tan intensively, preparing for the Caribbean sun. I will do the stand-up, twice a day, 15 minutes per session. This year, I used Tan U 50 credit, used the same in Lauderdale for 2 days, 2 days of my cruise, then switched to Hawaiin Tropic Dark Tanning Oil (no SPF) for the balance of the cruise, an additional 6 days. Upon my return to Lauderdale, I used the HT for 3 more days, and back home, Tan U for 4 weeks in the stand-up. I am now using Bombshell (face) (Tan U body), and although my face is not quite as dark as the pics, my body is still quite dark.

At my age, it doesn't make much difference anymore:redface:
When tanning, you must be persistent. Going once or twice will not give you the results you are looking for. Alot of people come into the tanning place that I go to, white as ghosts, and figure that if they tan for 10 or 20 minutes, they will come out with a rich looking tan. WRONG! One has to go continuously, setting up a regime, and following it. It may take 2 weeks until you notice some colour, and then you have to keep going back to enhance the tan, and maintain it. That is what I do until the summer, when I will be spending 6 hours straight, out on the back deck, with my face looking up to the sky.

Even 15 mins in a stand up seems a long time to me!

Tanning twice in one day, indoors or outdoors is not recommended because it takes 24 hours for the tanning process to "finish" up.. Even tanning everyday is a little extreme for a beginner. Three times a week will give results, or should.

My two cents on the best way to get a deep dark tan is to be consistant with your tanning.
Make the best use of the tanning lotions available, ie start off with accelerators and progress up.
Drink water to keep your skin hydrated and take vitamin E capsules which are very good for your skin.
Don't let your skin burn, and gradually work up the time on sunbeds. Dont over do the time in the first few weeks til you get a decent base colour.
And a new tip which I learnt on here on iamtan: Switch sunbeds and lotions every so often!!
BlackonWhite Twice a day in a sunbed! Is that dedication or madness! That is some serious tan you have. You said you were pale before you started tanning, have you a before photo to show us?

If you are not getting a dark tan but you are using lotions and changing lotions, go back to basics.
Make sure you are not showering before 2 hours after tanning
Make sure you are not tanning before 1 hour after showering
Do use a good moisturizer for tanners, I love Body Drench
Use moisturizer after showering and after tanning
Go back to an accellerator lotion for two or three sessions then back to the step you were at
Try the simle things and see if it don't help. Good luck.
