How do packages work where you tan? How do you find the best deal for sessions versus minutes? Do you get any kind of discount for being a member?
I ask because I've been a VERY regular tanner at my salon for three years, and because I tan year round, I was able to negotiate a package that makes it MUCH cheaper to use the high pressure beds and booths that often are $15 a session without a package. If you're a year-round tanner and really hard core (I'm both!), it's worth having a word with the owner/manager; they want to keep your business!
Off to work!

the place i tan has student discounts that are $25 for unlimited tanning. They also have $60 packages and you can buy a whole year. but i cant remember how much that is. or it's $5 per visit for a regular bed and up to $15 per visit depending on which bed you choose. i always get the student package. I like my salons prices.

WOW! I totally need to look for a new place to tan. I paid a $39 yearly fee, and I still have to pay like $10 to get in a turbo bed. If I would have paid $49 for one month, then I could lay in the reg beds for free.. SO, I guess I should shop around for bettter deals! Plus I'm ready to try some of these beds I've never heard of!

We pay $50 for 20 visits in the beds. There are no upgrades. But, they let us split the visits. At the other salon we tan at, it's the same. But, there's a $3 upgrade for the booth. If they're booked full, then you don't pay the upgrade.

All the salons here charge about the same thing and have the same packages for the beds. There is one orbit, 2 sundazzlers, and one 2m. All charge a dollar a minute.

my salon sells minutes... and then they rate the beds.... the super ones are min for min, the super 2's are an extra 5 mins per use, standups are and extra 10 mins per use, and the mega is double mins... for me it sux cause i use the mega exclusively, so i blow a heck fo a lot of money...

My salon charges $35 for unlimited for a month, $3 for one session, or $2 a piece if you buy more than one. They have a facial bed and another wolfe bed, and are getting one more of each of those and a stand up 10 minute bed. Their lotions are really great priced too.

Where I tan there are several diff. ways you can 'buy' tans. You can pay per tanning session ($3 for reg. beds) or you can pay by the month ($35 unlimited) or you can buy a membership in which you pay a one time $36 fee and pay by the month. I pay $19 a month (unlimited) since I joined a couple years ago (now it's something like $23 a month). It's a VIP plan and as an incentive to join you can discounts on everything in the store (swimsuits, lotions, etc). And you can tan in the power beds or Sundomes for $7 a session (normally $10-$15).

I paid $54 for unlimited tanning for a month in a 40 bulb bed with 3 facial tanners

I paid $49 for 12 visits in a 32 bulb bed. When I finish my 12 sessions I am going for the 3 month unlimited in the 42 bulb bed with face tanners, which is $149 (3 months in the 32 bulb bed is $100). Then if I choose, I can upgrade to the 52 bulb bed with face, shoulder and side tanners for $5 per visit. They have various packages (you can pay by visit (I think its 1,5,7, or 12 visit packages or they have 1 month and 3 month unlimited packages) No unlimited packages available on the 52 bulb bed...12 visits in that is $125.

My salon offers minute packages and monthly "memberships" which come out of a checking account. I choose the minute option. The price is based on bed, Super, Ultra and Mega, with Super the least expensive and Mega the most. I bought 100 Ultra minutes lastnight for $35. I was thinking of going Mega, but it's $117 for like 60 minutes. YIKES! The salon I go to out of town in Toledo gave me a good deal for being a first time customer, as I got 3 visits for $3, one visit in each bed, max. time. I also got a buy one lotion, get the second for $3 deal. My current salon where I live offers no discounts for repeat customers, just discounts here and there, like Memorial Day and Labor Day. I wish the Toledo salon was here in Dayton so I could go to it more. Their lotion selection was EXCELLENT!

I have been to 3 different tanners in town.
First one was I believe $30 for 30 min plus $2 each time you use facial or stand up and $16 on top of that for the bigger bed. Which my daughter used once and I saw no difference in her color.
Second I've went to the longest, it's $20 for 5 sessions plus $1 for ever 2 min extra.
Third I am at now... $40 for 20 sessions no extra fee's. But they only have a regular bed and a stand-up. They have all these different named beds but they all look about the same to me. BUT although they are just regualr beds I get good color from them.

I am glad I dont have to worry about paying for my tanning it sounds like some of these point systems get kinda confusing. We have set session packages and unlimited packages at the salon I work at. No confusing memberships or anything, just tanning packages for all the different units, and if they want to go into a stronger unit, they simply pay an upcharge.
