Has anyone tried tanning lotions with bronzers AS sunless tanners WITHOUT actually tanning? I ask becuase I love the way some of the lotions feel and wonder if used on thier own without tanning would I get a subtle boost of color? Most sunless tanning lotions get me WAY too dark and fade funny or are way too light and not show much at all. Plus I never know when to moisturize with those. I figure the bronzer tanning lotions already have moisturizers in them!

yep i do this with supre smoke black from time to time. You will get a boost regardless bc of the DHA in the lotion. Its good if you are in a pinch or are feeling lazy and you dont wanna go tanning.

I also have done the same with Smoke Black and DS Shine. Always a great boost if you don't have much energy to get out of the house! Or you just want an extra kick, anyway.

DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is the main ingredient in sunless tanners, the difference is tanning lotions with DHA contain a smaller percentage, similiar to a sunless gradual tanner. So, yes, the DHA will turn your skin a brownish color without uvr exposure (DHA and melanin production have nothing to do with each other, actually).
