Tanning twice in a day!

I'm actually at work right now and I just caught 2 girls that were trying to tan for a second time today!

I caught them only because one the employees at our other location called and said that they were talking about tanning again today. She over heard them and we are the closest salon to the one they went in.

They smelled like lotion when they walked in the door that was a give away.

They left upset only cause they got caught.

how silly - i can only imagine how dried out their skin would have been if they had gotten away with it. When I tanned everyday my skin was in horrible shape. Now because i wait just a little be longer, and do basic steps to take care of my skin (like using moisturizer on a regular basis) my skin is 100% better.

And in Arizona? The whole state is one big tanning salon! I was crazy dark when I lived in Scottsdale just from being outside all the time.

Ick, that is scary. Unhealthy. Etc. What a blessing it was that you caught them. Unfortunately for them they probably found another way to tan twice in one day, but at least it wasn't at your salon. =/

I explained to them how nasty that was for their skin. Especially living in AZ.

Yeah, that's great that you caught them. But like others mentioned, unfortunately...they will probably find another salon. I guess some people are just asking for skin cancer and premature aging.

If people choose to tan twice a day then that is purely their choice. At least you stopped them from doing it in your salon. I'm not going to say how bad it is bcus I'm guilty of it myself and I would be a hypocrite if I did

they probably just went to the next closest salon, but atleast you didnt let them do it through you.

That is a great decision you mad to not let them tan twice. Who would want to do that? I would hate to see their skin in a few years!

I found it did help me, it literally blackened me. Not saying I recommend it though :)

I would dare say that those girls were trying to steal free tans from your salon as well. Tanning twice in one day at both of your locations is stealing.

i've caught several customers at my salon who try to tan twice in one day on unlimited packages.... we have a database which alerts us if someone tries to tan twice, however its kind of entertaining when people try to do so.

I just now am seeing this thread - how silly! Paul... you shouldn't do that! I know we're back to back tanners but geeeze twice in one day!!! NOOO good.

I used to work with this girl back in the day and she would do that - one time she actually went THREE times in one day at 3 different salons. I believe at the time she was trying to get as dark as possible for a vacation but she ended up FRYING herself! I mean, I felt bad for her... but I hate to say I told you so.

when i was little, i was uber close with this girl and i used to go swimming at her house all the time or she'd swim at mine. when we'd be in her pool, her mom would lay out ALL day then when the sun would finally start to go down, she'd leave for the tanning bed. even when i was like, 10, i knew that was wrong! LOL i guess some people just don't care?
