She's baa-ack!

I'm not sure if you all remember my post a few months ago, I bet you've never seen this happen at a salon (http://www.iamtan.com/showthread.php?t=49446), but the ‘clothes lady’ has made another appearance at the salon.

This time, she brought in two bags of clothes that totally smelled of smoke that she needed to ‘tan’ :roll:. Well, all of the beds were engaged, so one of the employees suggested that she might be able to use the stand-up unit and proceded to search for something that she could hang the clothes with [at this point I was in the back room with some of my friends laughing so hard, my eyes were beginning to tear-up :lol:]. She couldn't find anything, so the lady had to wait for a bed to become available.

After the lady left with her ‘deodourised’ / tanned clothes, one of my friends went to sanitize the bed. When she returned she was like ‘oh h**l no...that room stinks’, so we all went back there and the entire back part of the salon smelled like cigarettes and BO [even more so than some of the parties I've been to] :Sick:. One of the hairstylists there said that the lady looked like she was out of her mind and couldn't believe it when I told her that she was a kindergarten teacher :eek:.

Well, that's about all that happened this time, but I promised that I'd keep everyone updated....:)

She said that it wasn't worse than anyone lying naked on there and wasn't any more of a fire hazard than someone tanning in a swimsuit...I'm still not 100% comfortable with the idea :lol:.I remember the last time you posted about her. :lol:I forgot to take video/pictures like I said I would though :(.

That's what I'm saying. There has to be better methods for removing the smell of cigarettes from clothes.

This still strikes me as odd. Heat intensifies scent so I'm inclined to think it would have the opposite effect on her clothes. I wonder why she doesn't just wash them in a laundry machine and/or hang them out to dry.

The one employee who let her do it said that it was okay because we used bed sanitiser, but there's still something disturbing about it :Shocked:.

Exactly! Sometimes I feel like I should be checking out other salons because the one I go to is a day spa that combines UV tanning, airbrush tanning, æsthetictician services and is also a hair salon. I almost wonder if I went to a place that just specialised in tanning if it would be any better.

Maybe take a look around and see what's out there. I have never been to a combo salon. No reason why though, just never have.

They have a planet beach pretty close by and another salon even closer that's tanning only. My salon hasn't even replaced the broken acrylic in this one bed and it's been cracked for at least 6 months.

Thats crazy.She got the idea from the fact that if you hang clothes on a clothesline, it deodourises them; she thinks that it's from the sunlight. I personally think it's more from the wind blowing on them, IMO. I say ditch that salon! ;)I just bought a 3-month unlimited package...rats :angry:! But I think I will start looking around when it's about to expire; I figure it might be nice just to see what the other salons offer.

my salon is half hair too.. i`m too happy with the color i get to switch.. the girls are all really tan and have great hair too!

They don't do hair very well at the one I go to, IMO. The girls who work at mine are mostly high-schoolers and none of them tan. Alot of tan people go there though.

i must have missed the original thread, thanks gwena for posting it. thats got to be the weirdest tanning request i ever heard! but i guess her money is just as green as everyone else's, right? business is business as long as she isnt harming herself or the tanning beds. :lol:

Thats a funny story.... but unpleasant with the odors and all.... maybe you should create a rule about excess baggage, or "tannig beds are for tanning" not some freaky attempt at natural deoderization that obviously doesnt work. lol
