ok, so earlier this week i was asked to fill in on tuesday and thursday after school for a few hours... i did tuesday, and went in today to work and got dropped off... well, i get there and the person working asks me why i am there if i am not tanning, and i was like "remember, i am working for (so and so" tonight) and she is like "oh, no, (another so and so) is working" i was like "um, no remember when you called me in to work?" and she basically said that she was told that another person was working and i was stuck there waiting for my ride for an hour, cleaning all the beds off the clock!!! i was so mad, and still am that i was called in first and i switched my CRAZY world around to work tonight just to get there and be told that i wasnt working and having to wait and work off the clock! now i am not really mad about not being punched in, but it was the fact that no one told me!!! arg!

Is this your salon owner or manager that called you in?

I'd be mad too. I hope you can get this worked out.

Thats terrible, I would have yelled at the person...I would have also just sat there and not done anything (ok maybe I would have tanned )

Are they going to pay you for it? I would demand pay for their irresponsibility.

That's too bad. If you weren't on the clock, you shouldn't have cleaned the beds. I would have left that to the employees punched in.

Technically you weren't covered by insurance when you weren't on the clock. Luckily nothing went down.

Tis the season. We have only 2 regular stand-ups and they are used maybe 15% of the time.
