I want to try a high pressure bed today but I'm just starting out and am still pretty pale. Should I save my money and wait until I'm more tan or will a HP bed tan me faster and not burn??? What are the results on a pale beginner? Worth the money?

I used a high pressure bed when I started tanning this year and it made a big difference. It gave me a quicker boost of color than the base beds alone did. The high pressure beds have more of the uva rays which are the browning rays and less burning rays. The tan that you get in a HP bed seems to last longer too. Once you achieve the color you desire you can use a HP bed to maintain in fewer visits a week than a base bed. Let us know how you like it if you try it.

The girls at my salon are kind of clueless (they started me at 10 min). How long should I go for? Cut my time in half? I'm still pale and only going 6 min in a regular bed.

I am far from an expert but chica explained that the base beds create the tan and the HP darkens it?? Maybe you should wait.....or wait until a salon owner with a HP bed can answer.....

There is nothing wrong with using a bigger bed when getting started. In fact, that is all that my mom used when she was getting ready for her vacation. She never even uses the base beds. (Unfortunately she lives too far from me to spend her money with me )

I was very pale when I started tanning. I used a low pressure bed a couple of times, got virtually no results. Hopped into a high pressure bed and wham! Came out and told the owner, THIS is what I've been looking for! No burn, just brown!
