I have some questions about the Mystic/Magic spray-on tan! I’m gonna try it over break at this salon called B Tan, where they only charge 9.99 for your first one. I wanted to know what to do before hand to prep for it, and also what to expect when I get it done! Thx!

ok for prep u want to exfoliate. and use a WATER based moisturizer after your shower to make sure that your skin is hydrated if parts of it are dry the dry parts will absorb the bronzer much more and create uneven color. that is pretty much the ONLY prep. if u tan in a regular tanning bed first that is good cus you already put lotion on and salon tanning lotions are water or aloe based so they are good for hydration. and as long as you put barrier cream on your hands and feet and towel off properly you should have no problems make sure to check the backs of your knees get wiped down really good solution collects there.

a water based moisturizer will work fine it if it has any oils in it the bronzer will NOT absorb. aloe might work but i am not sure.

We recommend shaving the nite before.Don't wear tight clothing to your appointment, either.Take an umbrella,in case it's raining.Lol!But for real.

My SO just got in a spray tan and she keeps trying to get me to try it out, but I just love the beds so much I just never do it, though I might give it a try just to see, Thanks for the prep info Anya, I'll keep that in mind!

Try the MagicTan Prep gel. You put it on right before you tan. Makes your skin perfectly pH balanced to better accept the tan -- helps "level" the skin. Exfoliating at home first is a very good idea.
