What's the one machine that you actually look forward to using??
When I was younger and working out in the gym, I loved the Deadlift... I just loved feeling like I was actually getting a good over all body workout from that one machine, plus I was really into my shoulders and upper body!
My Stepping machine would come in second though, I'd put it on the mode that it goes up hill and down hill and all of the settings... my friends told me I looked like Tyson after a fight when I was done LOL
Now, I love my Trampoline, it's too fun to just jump and move around however I'd like, and still get a nice workout!!
How bout you??

I'm not a big fan of working out. Thank goodness my boyfriend doesn't mind.

I'm a swimmer always have been always will be. I was on the dive team in high school, so swimming has always been in my life. I used to do The Firm quite a bit, but I have gotten so busy lately, I barely have time to shower.
But, I swim... tee hee

no, because i only have a certain numer of heartbeats for my life.
If i exercise, my heart rate will increase, therefore taking time off from doing something at a resting heart rate which is not good if you want to live a long time.

Well, I make my living in the fitness biz, so I run and workout everyday. I also swim about four days a week. I do a variety of circuit training routines and free weights over a biweekly plan. But I also like to party! I don't want to be a zealot.

I'm planning on buying a home gym after Christmas, when all the big sales start!
I am a runner usually. I lift a little but not on a regular basis. My basic running routine is 7 miles on Monday and 5 the rest of the week and take off the weekend. Taht is my usual routine but times have nto been routine so I am lucky now to get in 3 5's a week. Last week I got in 5 5's but that was rare.

The stationary bike is my favorite. Then again, I like anything that takes the place of running.

I like the bike the most also, the tredmill gets kind of boring after a while...I barely use them though, I hate working out

yeah, I'm not a big fan of working out either, I love to jump on my trampoline sometimes, but I don't do it nearly as much as I should! In the spring when my hubby builds onto my shed, I'm turning my office into a little "Curves" of my own with my Sit-down bike, trampoline, stepper, ab swing and weight bench, then see how I do with a workout routine!

I love workin out. I enjoy going to the gym at least every other day for at least 1 to 2 hours. Sometimes I will go everyday but dont usually have time. I love all the machines and equipment there. When I first started working out I didnt like it and thought of it more as a chore. NOW its the highlight of my day.

Tpsyduck - since when can you do a deadlift with a machine?

I lift 4-5X a week after school usually.
I like benching, incline bench, free weights, row machine, jammer's, leg press, and squats. Those are what I do on a regular basis in the gym. Maybe once or twice a wekk I will curl.

I used to go to a gym, but I don't anymore. I just stick to Atkins.

I've been feeling old latley, though. I think I hurt my back or something! I don't know, its a little messed up. My dad insists its just "sore" though....hmmmmm

I also run and workout every day. My favorite sports are biking (I actually ride to work on my racing bike - some 40 km each day), running (in parks and forest) swimming, cross-country skiing - plus judo, yoga and free weights training. And of cause dancing at parties & sometimes riding on horseback and fencing with long swords (in my viking-reanactment club)

I just started working out, I just do it at home tho, so all I use is a mini trampoline, but I like it, and a treadmill, we also have one of those exercise balls, bt it needs more air so I avn't been using it lol. But the mini trampoline seems to be doing good.

We have a big trampoline that I like to do flips on. Does that count? I have to cheat on my back flips and land on my back and then flip over because I'm scared to do them anymore.

I don't work out. I do butt lifts and crunches when I'm bored at work... which is a lot, lol... and sometimes I do them when I'm watching t.v. It's better than just sitting there! When I do work out though, I like using the threadmill, eliptical machine, stairmaster... bike... stuff like that.

I go to the gym about 4-5 times a week. I look forward to the treadmill, and I walk a mile and run a mile. On Saturdays, I walk a little more.
Then I weight train. I also rollerblade and skateboard, but my skateboard broke in half.

Okay, so I've gone through many changes in my "Personal Gym" in the last year LOL, now I'm down to my Treadmill and my new Elliptical, so I'll do 30 mins on each and do that 4 to 5 times a week, eat healthy, mini-meals, and I'll be good to go

I've been trying to get back into a reg. routine - I don't seem to be as motivated as I used to be and it really shows I'm going to really try this extra weight I put on is killing me!!!!

I'm going to start trying harder. It's difficult to get the motivation b/c I don't need to work out... I'm just naturally skinny. But I know I should to be healthy.

Amanda's right; even if you're thin naturally, you can be in really bad shape. I think you're exaggerating about the huffing and puffing, but you should not feel exertion through just walking normally or climbing one or two flights of stairs. I yell at Amanda about this already, but sooner or later that marvelous metabolism is going to slow down!

Working out isn't just good for losing weight and for getting in shape, but also for your health and heart.

From May-Sept. 25 I was doing Gilad's Bodies in Motion on FitTV which is a 30 min. workout. I lost 25 lbs doing it. I bought Tae Bo Get Ripped on Sept. 25 and did that until Tuesday of this past week and only lost 2 lbs doing it for a month and a half. So, I'm now waiting on Kathy Smith's Timesaver Cardio Fatburner to come in the mail then I will be doing that and Denise Austin's Get Fit Fast"Arms and Shoulders(I've also been doing this since May). I want to lose 10-12 more lbs and I will be at my goal weight.
