Last winter I always used a tingler on my face and it was fine.. It actually tanned. With other lotions it never does. Why do you guys always say you shouldn't use a tingler on your face?

not sure scientifically. i definitely would NOT do it if my skin was fair or sensitive at all. i have done it a few times with no ill effects, but i do not recommend it in general. john abate makes a facial oil with a tingle in it if you want to try it that way. but don't use the body tingles on your face. get the ja or just use a facial lotion. just to be on the safe side.

by the way, alicia, what lotion were you using on your face and what is your skin type?

The skin on your face is thinner and more delicate then your body, and bringing the blood to the surface like tingle lotion does could cause capillaries to break... also, it could lead to Roscea.... This is what I've understood

samsara's derm told her not to use the tingles on her face cus it did cause roscea.

I have fare-medium skin. I was using Smokin' from the Attitude line. A lot of ppl bash the Attitude Line by Caribbean Gold but I LOVE this lotion..and, it's pretty cheap!

I really like their Cold Hearted.Technically, your chest area is considered to be facial skin, also.I try to use my facial accelerater there, also.I forget sometimes, though.

no tingle on the face ever or outdoors either

Roxy.. You don't want to use Tingles outdoors At All... since you're not sure when it's the tingle making you red or overexposure and a burn starting....

I can't say that I know anyone who would want roscea so I definetely would not suggest using a tingle lotion on your face. If your having a hard time tanning your face I would try using a lotion designed for faces like Lustrous by Matahari which has a bronzer in it.

i know no tingle outside, it also is more damaging to the skin cells when used outside

I just wish I could be skilled enough to use a bronzer on my face. And IF i did use a bronzer on my face wouldnt it be darker than the rest of my body? Because..I don't really like bronzers on my whole body.

tingle lotions can break blood vessels since they are designed to bring the blood to your skin surface. You wouldn't want to have this happen on your face...

I hear a lot of people saying they use a tingle on their face even though they know they're not supposed to. I wouldn't risk it.

you should NOT use a tingle on your face.the delicate skin is too sensative for it.

You really shouldn't use tingles on your face unless it's designed for the face like the JA facial tingle lotion mentioned above.
