If you put a lotion on in the morning after you shower.. Should you wash it off before you go tanning say around, 5:00 P.M.? Will the lotion effect your tanning?

I don't think it'd affect your tanning lotion, as it's had all day to sit on your skin and absorb.. so your lotion should do just fine...

i think tpsy is probably right, but even though i think that, i haven't been putting on lotion in the morning because i tan in the afternoon. maybe i should change my routine.

I always moisturize in the morning before tanning and if anything I think its beneficial.

There are a few moisturizers you can use after showering that are supposed to help you to tan, also.I guess they stimulate melanin or something.Body Invest Ultra Violet Prep is one that comes to mind.

Try using an accelerator as a morning lotion, and again before you tan. A basic accelerator like AG thrust or HOT are really moisturizers that promote melanin production... the lotion will soak into your skin, and they you reapply before you tan.... your skin will thank you! Plus, you don't get After Tan Odor when you use a lotion just as a moisturizer.... Or get a tan extender, HEMPZ is one of my fave's.... and use that every day.. I use it several times a day.. my skin can never be too well hydrated!

A tan extender after your shower will be beneficial....moisturized skin tans best!!
I don't think using a moisturizer in the morning will hurt you. I think the more moisturized your skin is the better you will tan!

it depends on what moisturizer you are using. if your moisturizer contains mineral oil u won't want to use it on your skin the day of tanning. i know when i use the body butters the beds are harder to clean since those are very thick

I've showered and used a moisturizer and then went straight to tanning and used a tanning lotion and I got great color. If you moisturize right after you shower while your skin is still damp it will lock in the moisture better. Just make sure you pat dry with your towel, this will help to preserve your body's natural oils.
