What is a safe time increment when increasing time in a base bed?

I have been tanning for a month now and my last 3 sessions were at 12 minutes. The last session did get me a bit darker. Can I go to 14 or is it safe to make higher jumps as time and color increase?

I would say go ahead to 14 if you've tanned at 12 minutes for 3 times now without redness.

Yea, it sounds like you're ready to move up to 14 minutes, if you start to burn cut back on your time. I would stay at 14 minutes until you aren't getting any more color and then increase your time by another two minutes.

Well, I agree with the ladies.. you should be ready to bump it up to 14 mins... and slip back like Jen suggested if ya start to burn

Thanks for all the advice. I did 14 tonight and I think I'm fine. Mabye one or two more sessions at 14 and I'll try 16.

That's the way,Michael.Tanning is a gradual process. So many people don't have patience with it.

You seem like you are ready to up your time. If you start to feel too hot get out!!

Welcome to the board,Bella.Hope you have fun here.Actually, feeling hot in the bed is not an indication of burning.Alot of people think that.

We suggest increments of 3 minutes at the salon that I work at. However it verys for those people who burn easily.
