I've heard that once you have it, it's permanent (without plastic surgery, at least). Anybody lost enought weight to make it go away or have any idea if it is permanent?

Sorry I can't say that I have areas with cellulite yet.

I noticed a spot on my butt today that looks suspect. This can't be happening at 23!

I have a friend who used to be more than a couple of pounds overweight with cellulite on her thighs and tummy areas...she has went from a size 16 to a size 8 with NO cellulite. She exercised pretty intensely, making sure she focused on those areas (running, walking and plenty of crunches). I know I have seen as many thin people with cellulite as I have overweight people so I guess maybe it can depend on your own personal genetic makeup, etc...

Ya see im not even 100% sure what cellulite even is. But I lost a ton o weight this year and have noticed my thighs and booty look so much better then they did before. Plus I use that avon cellulite cream and a body firming lotion. The commercials on TV sold me saying lose inches in your prob areas. I guess a combination of both working out and the cream made a difference.

Working out and control of your food intake are the best ways to combat it. You can get rid of it completely, but it is really hard to keep that kind of discipline. In the end your metabolism will decide what will happen, and unfortunately it only gets tougher as you get older! So far I've kept it at bay but I have good genes and a healthy lifestyle. But some of the fittest women I know in their 30s and 40s have some cellulite. It's a woman's curse!

Cellulite is always fatty areas... so work out eat healthy and you shouldn't have problems.. but it is sort of genetic so sometimes you cant help it... ps people never notice it as much as you do yourself (we are always our own worst critic).

Yes, I had a little, and I lost it....I just cut out sweets COMPLETELY, including pop....I drank water instead. I looked thinner, but I don't think I actually lost pounds....just flabbyness, and cellulite....I'm getting it back, though, since it's the holidays. I'm going to cut out sweets again after Christmas
