Welcome to Iamtan Ringlets
Well, I don't wear make up at all anyways, so I'd say.. Yes, you're face should be clean, so you can put lotion on it ... I'm sure others will chime in on this, so you'll get some more opinions and answers on this

Most foundations and makeups have an SPF in them so you would be blocking the UV rays. If your intention is to limit the exposure on your face then makeup will do that but if you want to tan your face it should be clean and I would also recommend a tanning accelerator just for your face, it provides moisturizer lost during tanning plus has anti-oxidant free radical scavengers to help eliminate fine lines and wrinkles.

Is it bad to put your facial lotion on over your make-up? Sometimes I've done this if I've gone tanning unexpectadly and have had my make-up on.

does your salon have wipes that u can wipe your make up off b4 you tan? cus like teresa said most make ups have spf in them. so even with putting lotion on u probably didn't get any sort of color. or you yourself can put a packette of baby wipes in your purse or tanning bag to keep handy

If I tan with my make up on,I don't use a facial accelerator on it.I only do it if I'm tanning unexpectantly cause it does cause me to break out.Needless to say,it's not often I do it.

I always wash my face before tanning. You want it as clean as possible.

I never wear makeup when tanning. I have never gone to the gym where I tan with any makeup on anyways haha. I always find it funny when I see girls there workin out sweating with all this makeup on.

Teresa gave you some great advice. I don't wear make-up when I tan either. My foundation has spf and I don't get any color when I wear it. Like Anya said, I would bring baby wipes with you when you tan so you can wipe your make-up off. I always use a seperate facial accelerator for my face, regular tanning lotions make my face break out.

If your face sweats a lot your makeup probably won't look that great after tanning anyway.

when i first started tanning, i always wore foundation with an spf of 15. once i got a nice tan, i quit wearing it.

Yup, definitely no make-up, blocks up your pores during tanning, break out with bad skin, then you end up trying to cleanse and exfoliate all the skin you could have tanned if you had clean fresh skin ready for exposure!

are you using some moisturizer that could lead to photosensativity?
