I like to use baby oil after my shower, will it affect a dha bronzer? Isn't a dha the same as a sunless? I just had a mystic tan and want to know if it will be safe to use my beloved baby oil.....

I *think* I have read to avoid using anything with mineral oil when you are using DHA lotions, which would include the mystic tan. Hopefully someone who knows for sure will speak up. )

You should avoid using baby oil PERIOD. Water and oil do not mix. The oil creates a barrier and will not allow moisture back in to rehydrate your skin.

baby oil acts like plastic on your skin.

Step away from the baby oil.

you should not be using it period because it is not good for your skin. BUT, if you insist on using it, you definitely should not use it after tanning with a DHA lotion because **IT WILL** cause streaking. Invest in your skin with a good after-tan moisturizer like Designer Skin's Angel... you will notice the difference and be happy that you did.

I used to tan with the whole baby oil and iodine regimine when I was a teenager. It works wonderfully, and it gives you a pretty deep, exoctic tan. You just can't use it everytime you lay in the sun, that's why all these baby-boomers are having these skin problem's now'adays. It was so popular back in the day, but they also didn't have the info about sun damage, like we do today.

always always always use an SPF lotion when you tan outdoors.

Yeah...your right, but I don't tan outdoors anymore. Haven't in years. To afraid of scaring people by the site of me in a swimsuit.

If you've got DHA/sunless tan, applying baby oil after your shower won't affect it - just don't shower immediately after spraytanning. People say to wait 3 hrs before getting wet, but I feel you should avoid showering/sweating etc for 5-6 hrs. Applying baby oil after that won't have any deleterious consequences w/ respect to your tan - but you really pick a better moisturizer, as ppl have already suggested.
