What do you find you get better results with? The Mystic Tan type units or when someone air brushes you themself at the salon? I would think that a salon employee doing the job for you would give better results. They can get every area and go over parts that didnt get much on them. We have both types in my town at many salons. They have an airbrush one at my salon that costs $25 and the Mystic at another salon costs $30 so almost the same price. I tried Mystic awhile ago and it was okay. Made me pretty dark the next day but it faded fast and got blochy on my face. I have never tried the other type but for those who have tried both whats your opinion? Whats better?

Have only tried Mystic. I don't want tan lines, and I'm not going to stand there buck naked in front of someone that I am not intimate with (unless I'm having an annual gyno check). I liked the Mystic, had no problems with blotches or streaks. But you're supposed to exfoliate well before you have it done. Don't both methods use the same stuff?

Both airbrush tans and spray booths can use the same kind of solution. I am an airbrush tan technician, and people seem to prefer this method. They can be as dark or light as they want, and every area is covered, leaving no streaks. The majority of people aren't afraid to be semi- or fully undressed either. It just depends on how many tan lines you want. Many people also wear swim suits. It depends on your comfortability level. I recommend trying it! It works well in combination with tanning beds and is great for a quick "darkening" before holiday parties, winter weddings, etc.

We tell people to bring in swimwear to change into.I have had people ask me to do them topless.

I would go with the airbrushing. I have never tried Mystic nor do I want to after being airbrushed. We have a Mystic booth at our other salon location (30 miles away) and we do airbrushing at our location. We have many clients who choose to be airbrushed exclusively...although we recommend at least going in a bed for 4-6 minutes prior to being airbrushed as it allows the skin to receive and hold the color longer and better. Like Summers Tan was saying, people can either wear swimsuits and some choose to just wear their undergarments and then there are those who shed it all!

Go for salon airbrushing, at least when you have someone doing it, then you can tell them if they miss places, with the mystic tan, if ya screw up then your pretty much screwed...

Alot of the solutions go on clear so it's hard to tell by looking if a place was missed. We tell customers that it could take 2 sessions to be completely even but seems nearly all are fine with one.Personally,I worry about all of them I do.I haven't had a complaint since I first started about a year & a half ago but they still worry me.It's like you're airbrushing them in the dark,in a sense.
