I'm not a pro, but do not use tingles outside! I use the melted butter outside and reapply it often.

Brown Envy is a great tanning lotion to use outside. I also like to use Melted Butter. always be sure to layer an SPF lotion over your tanning accelerator to protect your skin.

You guys are right on NO tingles outside.......

Any of your non-tingle indoor products will work in helping you get a better tan but yes do remember to use it in combonation with an SPF.

Also Cal Tan sells some SPF's that work great and in the unlikely event that you do burn use Insurance to help pull the redness out of that burn.

Just curious....why should you not use tingles outside when tanning?

they are not designed for an uncontrolled environment. they were made for tanning beds which is a controled environment you are only getting X amount of UV exposure going outside is totally different and you could possibly get really burned which you are supposed to avoid.

I have used a tingle outside and will never do it again. The sun seems to intensify the tingle, ie hotter than **** and doesn't go away. And if you try to use water to get it off, it also intensifies it. Oh, and when I did it, I was immune to tingles. And I used a light tingle. Nothing major. So imagine what you'd feel if you aren't immune.

Last summer I would go tanning and then go to work (lifeguarding) so I would be outside all day....I would used tingle/bronzer combo and would get a lot of color and I never really noticed the "tingle factor"...but I hear that it isnt safe to use tingle outside so I think I will stay away from it this summer!
