Alot of people I know are on that Susanne Summers diet and a few others are on that Atkins diet. I personally made my OWN diet plan and it worked great. Im down to a comfortable 132 and when I started I was at 170+.

OMG I just looked at your pics and your REALLY PRETTY. It doesnt look like it added 40 pounds or anything like that. I mainly cut out all fast food, soda, juice, chips, cookies, and stuff like that. I eat fat free or low fat food and snacks. I also eat alot of Slim Fast bars as well. And PLENTY of exercise. I work out everyday.

actually all you need to do is cut out all the carbs and like sweets, breads drink 8-10 glasses of water a day and keep exercising it will pay off but the key to that is keeping your heart rate up the whole time and make sure it is up. that is a big deal.stay off the cokes and juices. veggies are great but not carrots, corn, potatos, try like broccoli and cauliflur and zucchini and stuff. there is a really great wrap called turkey and lettuce wrap. you take the lettuce and pspread cream cheese(low fat) on it and then put slices s of turkey in it and then put a few slices of cucumbers and i add a little mozzerella cheese and the wrap it up and heat for like 3 seconds depending on how hot your microwave is mine is hot. i train women at the gym and for pageants so i always have great ideas for people. also take bell peppers and stuff them with lean beef and onions cooked of course and top with some kinf of herb and it is good. these things have maybe 7 carbs. they say u can have 100 carbs a day but really u only need 60.starting out 20 if u can.but th thing to do is learn a eway of eating and make it a life style. mine has been to delete all carbs as much as possible but if u really want that sweet eat it a little because if u say none forever it will accumulate and u will totally indulge and well we dont want that haha. ohope that helped.

I've been gaining weight since this summer and I'm getting really miserable about it. Gotta get back on track again, I did Atkins and it really worked, but I'm thinking of a Suzanne or South Beach Diet (which I think is like Atkins but with more carbs allowed as long as they are whole wheat...)

You see, my big problem is that I am a Vegetarian, so it is really har to not eat carbs, any suggestions??

eat high fiber carbs like beans and brown rice. the worst culprit is the processed stuff like white bread and potatoes and regular pasta. get the whole wheat kind. which take some getting used to....i guess it's do-able!

Unless one's looking to lose a *lot* of weight, or lose what they have very quickly, the easiest answer is usually 'moderation'. If you have two regular sodas a day, have one, and replace the other with water or diet. If your lunch staple is a meal at McDonald's, get a side salad with their vinegrette dressing instead of fries. If your weakness is ice cream, serve a lesser amount into a smaller dish. If you munch during TV shows, slice some raw vegetables instead of having potato chips. And you don't even need to do *all* those things to see results. Cutting down by one can of cola per day nets you fifteen pounds lost in a year, and is usually something that anybody can do and maintain.

Thanks Fair, those are great suggestions
Yep, when I needed to lose some weight, that's all I did, was eat when I did, just cut it in half, also gave up sodas, fried foods, and salt. I'm a candy FREAK, and I still lost weight! I usually try to stay away from chocolate though, but everything in moderation..... and don't forget some excersise.... Ya know, just 30-45 mins 3-4x a week is Perfect for burning calories?? And you can do simple things too, maybe take that parking spot a little bit further away from the store, maybe take the stairs instead of the elevator, instead of rolling the hamper to the washing machine, get a basket and make the trip for seperate loads, Walk to the mailbox instead of just pull the car up to it..... Just little things for excersise everyday can really make a difference in the long run

This is awesome advise! This is so the way I think. I cut out sodas a long time ago and I just learned portion control. I knew I'd never be able to stick to a strick diet that completely cut out certain foods. I've tried it and I always broke down. So I just learned to have less of the things I crave and more veggies and fruits in their place.
One rule I made for myself is that when I go out to eat is... I only order veggies as my sides, I use just straight vinegar or low fat dressing on my salads, and I only eat half of my entree. With a decent exercise schedule it's slowly working. Losing weight is not a race. Over the past year I've lost 30 pounds and my boyfriend (annoyingly ) has lost 50. I still have a drink or two when I want, I still eat my sweets but all in moderation. My doctor was so proud of me at my last physical that she printed out my weight graph to hang on my fridge.

I don't think diet pills of any kind are good for you. You'd be better off exercising more or changing the way you eat. I read that Anna Nicole Smith lost 80lbs taking Trim Spa, which is just a fat blocker pill. She will have to take it forever to stay at that weight & I can't imagine that being very good for you.

I wanted to try trim spa but I took Xenadrine EFX instead. I didnt get any bad reactions from it except when I took the full dosage of 4 pills a day. UGH got really sick. So im on like 1 to 2 pills a day. But ya if I had more money I would have taken the Atkins diet or Weight Watchers or the Suzanne diet but they all cost to much. I looked for the cheap way out haha.

well even if you don't have problems right away, the damage could show up later. Ephidra (sp?) is not good for you at all & has killed people before. I remember hearing some weight loss drug causes heart problems too. and the other problem with pills is they are not for long term management & once you stop taking them, you gain the weight right back.

and I'm not sure about the Suzanne diet, but the Atkins diet is not a pill you take, it is a lifestyle change.

Nooooo I dont wanna hear that haha. Thats why im scared to stop taking the diet pills all together. I have one bottle left which lasts me 3 months so after that I plan on stopping for GOOD. Hopefully I can keep the weight off. I have always been a semi skinny girl but got really big from being depressed.

You're right Ephedra is really bad for people. But the Xenedrine EFX pills are Ephedra free, I take them sometimes as well. They have green tea extract (caffiene) in them. I don't take the full does either because that would make me too jumpy. But, as a supplement to a good diet and exercise plan, they can help.

Ughhh! I have gained some weight as well. I stay away from any and all diet pills because I have seizures so that is a BAD mix! I have to do it the natural way, diet and exercise. I wish there was a magic pill, but there isnt. I have a treadmill that I bought and really its nice to be able to hop on when its snowy out. I also do the Winsor Pilates and I love how that works my abs. Unfortunately, my motivation, or lack of, is what kills me!

I did the atkins 2 week jump start just to lose a few pounds. It's not one I would stay on forever. I did lose the weight, so to me it was worth it.
