Our salon has a spray tanning booth that promises a six second tan. The girls that work there look awesome, but they probably get to use it for free. Is a six second tan possible? How do you tan ALL body parts in such a short time? How long does it last? If I go on a Wednesday night, would it carry for a long weekend? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Do you remember the name of it? Anya has used spray tan, so maybe she can explain how it sprays. I think she used mystic. I think the tan is supposed to last from 5 to 7 days, but I'm not 100% on this. I've never used one. I haven't helped at all.

I tried the Mystic Tan, but I think I messed it up cuz it didn't tan me. But, oh well. The Mystic Tan website has a lot of good info about spray tanning www.mystictan.com

Hope this helps

We'll take a look. It's not cheap either at $30 a pop. That's a lot of cash per second!!

My salon says it has a 60 second tan. 6 sounds a little to short to me.

I think the Mystic Tan is about 20 seconds. I can't remember because it's been a while since I did it. I paid $30 for THREE sessions, which I think is a pretty good deal.

That is a good deal, the special I got at my salon was 2 for $25.

Wow, 6 seconds. My Mist-On takes about a minute, but it takes me lot longer to take my clothes on and off. Maybe I should look into Velcro.

There's a place here in Austin that has 6 second tan. I've never done it cause its a very pricy salon... like $50....

The six second tan is the Sun Spritz. I tried it 2 times. (buy one get one free) You have to move your arms and legs up and down and after rub it in. The color was to light, and bad cover.

Was it air-brush or a spray booth?

These 6 second booths are poping up everywhere. They must be doing something right.

There are 3 versions of these booths. They are all made by Hollywood Tan. They are private labeled and resold by distributors. I used to know them all but I don't now.

We have an Instant Tan machine here in the UK and it does not work and IT cannot get it to work.
See: http://www.solaristanningstudio. com/instant_tan.html
To see why we have waved goodbye to over £40,000

It was airbrush... it looks really good.

No one here has an airbrush, most of the tanning salons have the Mystic. I would try the airbrush maybe once just to check it out.

I'm not into spray on tans. I like the real deal

Hollywood Tans salons all have the Instant Tan (HT9) 6 second spray booths. These are manufactured and maintained by Hollywood Tans, and kept up to extremely high upkeep standards. Beware any booths that may have been manufactured by HT but sold through distribution (such as Sun Spritz), or that are located in a non-HT salon. They're often not kept up to the same standards, aren't provided the same technical support (just read "Nightmare in the UK" website for more info on this) and are giving Hollywood Tans' 6 second Instant Tan booths a bad name.

I posted another message about the benefits of the 6 second spray tan over the 30-60 second spray tan. Bottom line: I stake my professional reputation on the Instant Tan booth every day. I use it, my wife uses it, and my best friends use it. It works great, and I'd highly recommend them to anybody else interested in spray booth tanning. It's not just a great alternative to UV tanning... it's a great compliment to it!

I've seen the 6 second here too. I may give it a shot, although I still have one mystic tan left (paid for)
