Hi!
Just wanted some opinions. I have the opportunity to buy a Hex 30 bulb sonnenbraune 3200 or 3200F with facials (New in box). This is for home use (I know we will have to do some electrical work). Is sonnenbraune a type of bulb? Has anyone used this booth? What are your thoughts good or bad? How about the Hex 40 bulb with 160 VHO reflective bulbs, or 48 bulb Sunquest 5000 (theSe two are repos). I would love to have a standup bed to conserve space, they are what I like to tan in at the salon, but have no experience with these booths. What do ya think
Thanks!
Rhonda

I have used the hex before but It was so HOT...the salon owner told me it got 115* degrees in that thing,so I tried it and almost fainted..had to set for a few minutes to regain control,I havent used one since

I hear those hex standups, particularly the higher # and wattage of bulbs, are very hot. If you buy the booth, get you a bloody big A/C to go with it
Besides the heat problem, the hex 40, and the other one you mentioned should give great colour. Find something to stand on that'll raise you about 3 to 5" since most booths don't tan feet very well.

tr0nado! I wondered why they had a little platform in there. I'm so dumb I just kicked it out of there! D-oh!

LoL
Sorry to hear that, boobrandt.
I seen some booths that one online salon had that raised you up (like an elevator) some 3 or so inches. so you get in, once the booth turns on, the platform raises you automatically. I think that's cool

Rhonda: Did you say for home use? These things pull alot of power and need alot of A/C. Do more research before you buy this thing. You need about 1-2 tons of A/C going to this unit just to stay comfortable. Do you have that kind of airflow in your home? Also, it most likely requires about 40-60 amps of service. Thats alot for your home!!

And I thought I could invent a platform and make tons because I hate my feet not tanning.

we have hex ones where i work and they are my favorite. one of them has a manual fan and it feels like an inferno but the others with the automatic fans i think are less hot that a regular bed (i sweat in those whereas i don't in the fan automated ones). but they are right if this one has the manual fan get ready to bake.

I want to try one! I don't normally like the stand-up beds because I don't see a lot of results from them, but this one is definitely peaking my interest.....
