make sure you check your labels carefully when buying makeup and facial products. most cosmetics now contain SPF which can slow facial tanning... I know that I personally have spent hours in Target looking for a moisturizer for my dry skin that does not contain SPF and I still haven't found one.

you should always wash off any makeup you have on before tanning.... cosmetics with SPF make this even more important...
