definately ask about the formula they put in their booths. I don't know which formula does it but i have had friends that turned orange and had it rub off on their clothes. Even worse, a girl i knew did it the day of prom and had it coming off on her WHITE dress! It was awful!

MagicTan is not orange ... it's actually a light pink with a brown cast. I've never had anyone tell me they look orange, rather, how much they love the color of their tan. I'd tell anyone to get a MagicTan, the happy customers and profits are incredible! I spoke with a Veronique in California who convinced me into buying my magictan ... I called all the different salon owners on MagicTan's website before buying but she was terrific. Best to ya!![ This Message was edited by: UCANTAN2 on 2003-10-06 17:44 ]

hmmm...ya know...i think you might be right...mystic tan maybe is the one that turns orange...all i know is that a friend of mine (super duper pasty white girl) looked orangy after she got into a spray booth (i don't know what spray booth exactly). It was crazy!

the whole orange fear thingy is the only reason our salon didn't buy one, maybe we should look into a magic!!

I do know Magic Tan uses Formulated Solutions. It is the bronzer that will come off on your clothes. You won't have that after you shower. I try to wait 12 hours or more before I shower. If you are doing it for a special event get sprayed two days before.
I have a good friend that sells them in Kansas City. He would be a great guy to talk to about them. I have tanned in his as well as our Mystics. They do things differently but they work about the same. Be sure you get the 4 pass set up, I think that is standard now but ask anyway.

I think that it depends on your skin color and type, as well as what level you use when you use the Mystic Tan. I am verrry pale naturally and I use it and get a great brown color that I don't normally get even w/ hardcore tanning. Also it will come off on your clothes before you shower after doing it. I have also had it rub off where my bra straps were when I heavily sweat during the summer. Not a biggie though. A little touch up w/ ST and that fixes it. I guess one of the things that I would be really sure to ask is what kind of training system they have to train the employees. If employees are trained well, you will have customers who are happy w/ thier tans. Those that are not can leave customers confused and unhappy, plus they are more likely to make mistakes and assume the magic tan didn't work for them and never return. I would definatly check into this.
