I was wondering if anyone here sells avon? I need a little extra money but don't the time to get a second job so I am thinking about selling avon.
Thanks!

Several years ago a friend of mine starting selling Avon and I think she did make a little extra $$$. Seems to me the venture can be as profitable as your personal schedule and desire allows. In my opinion .. a key (but not the only key) to making it worthwhile would be to get a modest number of "regular" customers and build on it. Good luck if you do pursue this.

I sold avon and made ZIP from it. I ended up chasing my clients around to pay me and most of them didnt want the item they ordered afterwards. Its not worth it in my opinion. Oh, and my biggest pet peeve is that Avon was always on backorder! What a way to dissappoint your clients!

A friend of mine did it and hated it. people would order then she had to chase them around too get the money. it was more trouble than it was worth.. imo avon stinks

i know you said you don't have much time, but what about doing home parties in your spare time like candle parties or pampered chef etc. I know someone who did well "adult" parties and made out quite well.

I order from my Avon lady almost every 2 weeks. I love their Anew skin products esp. the cleanser and skin brightener. I agree about getting regular customers who you know will pay for what they order. The lady I order from has been selling Avon for almost 20 years and she has reduced her customer base to only a few of us because she had problems with some of the other ones paying. Plus she is almost ready to retire.
The only problem I see with selling products like Avon, Mary Kay, etc. is that they are available online and a lot of people buy online now. I am friends with my Avon lady and always look forward to seeing her so I will continue ordering in person. Good luck.

Yup, I get all my Mary Kay/Avon etc from discount sites... Touch and go.. But you DEFFINATELY have to be a certain type of person to do adult parties.... and DO NOT get involved in MLM (Herbalife, Melaleuca, Amway, etc) Unless you know a WHOLE lot of people that you have very open and trusting relationships with...

Actually a friend of mine just starting selling stuff for pure romance or something and I told her to give it a month and then tell me all about. There is no doubt that they make a ton of money.

I knew 3 people that sold Avon and made squat from it. I do think home parties like....scrapbooking/rubber stamping, the adult parties, pampered chef, Lia Sophia would be the way to go.
