I'm planning on doing a session of a Mystic Tan for my sister's wedding.. I am her maid of honor. The dress is hot pink.. so I know a good tan would look fab against hot pink. Now, I'm wondering.. should I mystic the day before the wedding, or the morning of the wedding. The wedding doesn't start till 5 PM.. soo.. what would be the best thing to do?

Have you ever used the Mystic tan before? I need to know before I can give you my advice from my own experience with spray on tans.

Nope, I sure haven't. My aunt and my sister has.. I watched the video they show and stuff, so I know how to use it.. and it gave good results with my sister and aunt.. I just want to know if I should do it the day before and shower... or after I shower in the morning if it has time for the color to develop all the way.

Use it the day before at least. I like the color on my body, but the color on my face doesn't look that natural for some reason. I would never try this for the first time right before a big event. Highly recommend the day before the wedding, if not the day before that.

I would try it asap(don't know when the wedding is).You may not like it.Check it out to make sure you do before you go doing it for a wedding.

I think you'll like it, but you really need to try it a day or two ahead or time. The color will still be there, but I know that I am pretty dark and it makes my face a bit orange-y on day one. Much prefer day two.

do a dry run.. test it b4 u use it for the wedding i woudlnt suggest using it for a specific occasion without testing it on yourself first. and if u like it do it maybe a day or two b4 the wedding do NOT do it the day of cus u will smell like the spray and the color that is sprayed on with the solution might stain the dress and with sweating it could leave you streaky

DEFINETLY the day before.....and as everyone said, test it out first. I know when I use Sunless Tanners, day 2, not one, always looks best. PLEASE don't get it done at 9in the morning and then shower at 3 because the color wont be fully developed. give it 12 hours for full development. i know it sounds long, but it will look good trust me

I totally agree, I would do a test run way before the big day. I was in a wedding in June and I tried the Mystic first at the beginning of May. Now I'm not sure what I did wrong but I got absolutely no color from it. I was pretty pale when I went in so the girls at the salon told me I should try a level 1. I only got a spot of tan on my ankle and on my left thumb. I have no idea what went wrong. Luckily the salon gave me a credit towards a tanning package. If it were me I'd try it way in advance to see what color level you should use. Plus I've heard that doing it 2 days in a row will give really good color.

i left the solution on for 15 hrs and i got great color from it but if u want the full results u should wait the full 24hrs witihout showering and getting your skin wet.

Leaving solution on for 24hrs that sure is a long time our air brush sytem we only ask to not shower for 8-12hrs and this has been more than enough time and we have never had any problems out of it we are actually doing so much buisness with UV free we are upgrading to a booth and so far we are going with the Bronz Mist Booth I have seen the results from this unit and it is outstanding and the wait on the shower is nowhere near 24hrs and the solution is fast drying.I have two salons and I have two booths coming at the end of October.

they say a minimum of 3-6 hours for mystic tan before you shower.. (well, here that is)
and yeah, i definitely agree to do it the day before

HEY, I DIDNT HAVE TIME TO READ WHAT EVERYONE ELSE SAID BUT I WANTED TO JUST WARN YOU THIS IS NOT THAT GREAT IT DOES FADE SOON AND IF YOU ARE ON YOUR HONEYMOON YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE ALL BLOTCHY AFTER A FEW DAYS OF THIS JUNK WEARING OFF. I HAVE A LOT OF BRIDES WHO HAVE COME TO ME CRYING AND I HAVE TO GET THIS STUFF OFF THEM AND SEN THEM TO MY GIRL WHO PAMPERS ME AND SHE HAD TO TAKE THAT JUNK OFF ME RIGHT BEFORE I WENT TO VEGAS. IF YOU WANT TO GET DARK QUICK, BUY CAFE BRONZER AND USE IT EVERYDAY FOR A WEEK IN THE TANNING BED, DO NOT TAKE A SHOWER FOR 6-8 HOURS AND YOU WILL LOVE ME FOR IT AND YOU WILL LOOK HOT AND IT STAYS A LOT BETTER.

Sungoddes - the splotchiness happened from not proper EXFOLIATION before hand. to prevent blotchiness (aka lizard skin) exfoliate before hand and it wont happen. Also, moisturize 2X daily with a good moisturizer.

Definitly do it at least 2 days before the wedding ....sometimes your hands can get messed up and sometimes it just does not turn out so great.......wouldn't chance it for a wedding.

i would definitely do it the day before the wedding, that way, if it's all messed up, you could try to even it out.
