Hi! Welcome to the board! Just remember to start out slowly. Some good lotions for beginner's are Brown Envy, Swedish Hemp Creme, Drama Queen, Babie, Green Tea, Hempz...and the list goes on. Just don't start out using a tingle. Good luck with your tan!!

Welcome to iamTAN! We're glad to have you here.
For lotion reviews, check out the love it or shove it forum. We've discussed just about every lotion made. I would start out with a basic lotion like brown envy, dark n dazed, swedish hemp creme, or any other basic browning lotion. There are several that get excellent reviews. If you can, sample until you find one you really like.
And don't forget to NEVER burn and use eye protection.
You'll get lots more advice in the morning.

Also, use a moisturizer made specifically for tanners. Moisturized skin tans faster and the color lasts longer. I like to use Fully Loaded by Fiesta Sun. Most people avoid lotions that have mineral oil or alcohol as those can contribute to dry skin. Welcome to the board!

Everyone has covered all the important tips - I would tan every other day and if your salon offers different types of beds I would alternate to a HP bed once a week. Just remember don't burn and keep your skin moisturized - Welcome to the boards
