Today I tried what they call a reflector bed again. It was a different one tho..The bed was by PureTan, but im not sure what the bulbs said. Anyway I tried this sample of lotion they had out, she didnt tell me it was a tingle 2...I NEVER use tingle cuz it makes me so irritated. i just used it on my forearms. Now they are red and blotchy and they burn like i stuck them in an oven. I'm sitting here in the losest shirt i could find witha bottle of aloe vera gel. i think i had some left over on my hands and got it on my chest when i put my other lotion on...
Now for the bed....I noticed this when i got out..on the bed it said "max exposure time: 10 minutes" But i was in there for 20!! thats how much time the girl said it took...so i asked her why there was a differnece and she just said "oh thats a 20 minute bed, dont worry about it" but im all red and blotchy!! is it the bed or the tingle??!?! EEEKKK i hurt!

i hate it when i read that someone has unwittingly used a tingle. that girl really sucks. the hot feeling should go away in about an hour. i don't know about the bed. maybe they are using weaker bulbs. sounds to me like you need to find another salon. i am in IN too, where are you at?

South Bend. Its a chain of about 3 salons called Crazy Coconut. They have really cheap tanning because they buy out the salon and all the beds that used to be there from previous owners.

I would think it'd be the lotion, because I was the same way the first time I used tingle lotion, but I decided to use it ON MY WHOLE BODY!!! OH MY GOD, that hurt!!!!! Well, I'm glad you're feeling better, and I've got no clue on the bed, all my salon has is regular 20 mins beds, but she's getting in a standup soon Yay!!! Oh, did you get my Pm Ltrain??

tingle products bring the blood to the surface of the skin allowing it to get more oxygen, thats why your skin looks so red when using it. the redness and tingeling should go away within 30 min after tanning, if it still bothers yoy when you get home take a shower and wash the tingle product off

^^^NO SHOWERS! taking a shower IMMEDIATELY or TOO SOON after you've applied a tingle product can REACTIVATE the tingle!

Yea, whatever you do don't get in the shower - water will definately re-activate it. I got caught in the rain an hour after tanning and the tingle was re-activated - It will just fade away on its own depending on how strong of a tingle it is and once you get used to them you don't even feel it - The only time it got hot on me was the first time I used one, you just need to build up your resistance to them.

*hehe* I had a very similar situation that happened to me....If you're interested, read my post Under "Tanner's Den" and the subject line says "My New Lotion"! I think I posted it 3 or 4 days ago...very identical to what happened to you:)
