I used to use the orbit exclusively (at my old salon), and it's not all that.....I never cared that much for it and for me it did not do any more than a regular bed.

the salon used to have 2 orbits back in the day and they were my favorite.... they're gone now so I use something with 14 face tanners and like 55 body lamps... 10 minute session.

My place has Orbit and Omega beds (among others); I try to get into the Orbit about once a week or so. It's nice!

Okay, there's a salon in town that has this. Is it gonna be worth the extra $$ to tan in it? I'm not getting anything now on the base beds, and this is after not tanning for a couple of weeks. My tan is fading fast. And with school out, it's hard to get an appointment in the booths.

Hey Anya, you've used the OMEGA right? This salon I went too had both the orbit and the OMEGA, but I decided to try the orbit first and LOVED it. Do you think you got better color from the Orbit or the Omega? I bought an orbit package, but was planning on using the OMEGA on thursday, do you think it's worth it, or based on your experience with the OMEGA, just stay with the Orbit?

i got better color from the omega of course since that's the HP bed all face tanners... i LOVE the omega it's worth trying it out. but in some places people keep the fan up at high so if u can lay down in it hold the towel that u lay on down then turn the bed on or itll blow right off the mattress lol personally if i could use the omega all the time i would. i love the bed that much

Thanks! I think I'll try laying for a few in a basic bed tomorrow, then go to the Omega on Thursday to see what it's like. This salon has a cool thing where you can get a monthly membership of $20 for a year unlimited to the basic and mid level beds, and with that you can get visits to the Omega for $10, which I thought was a good deal. I'll give it a try.

yea that's a great deal.... when i upgraded to the omega i got half off and i was still paying 14.50 (since for a non member the bed was 29 dollars per session)

You mentioned a towel to lay on, do you have to bring it yourself, or do they usually provide a towel big enough for the bottom? I don't remember seeing any large towels at the counter or in the room it was in.

Anya1976

hhm if they don't provide one then bring one it gets warm in there even with the fan on and if u are just laying on the plastic covered matteress u'll stick and sweat and it wouldnt be comfortable. my salon provided a towel a fresh one was laid on the mattress each time they cleaned it

Thanks! Can't wait to try it out! I'm on a quest to try different beds lately...it's just finding salons here that have something OTHER than the Ultrabonz, lol. Thanks again!

I finally tried the orbit for the first time today. And, it was half price since it's my birthday! OMG, I'm definately deprived. I loved it. It was not hot at all. The room has it's own portable a/c in it. It'll be another couple of hours before I'll be able to tell how much color I got. The salon is running a special right now, so I've asked for minutes as my b-day present.

Right now, the only place I can already tell a difference is my face. It is soooo much darker. I really wasn't expecting that much of a color change.
