for all the sunless tanning information/tips/guideance you'll EVER want, go to www.sunless.com and click on application. also become a member of the message boards. this is the place to go if you want sunless tanning tips. most members of www.iamTAN.com are mainly tanning bed users, and frequent mystic tans. Just though't I would share for those interested in sunless tanners, as they are a great way to achieve and maintain a tan.

just don't tell them you tan. someone on here earlier said they kicked them off when sunless people found out they tanned. otherwise it's a great site. the lady who writes the articles they have on there is really funny.

They kicked them off? How lame. Don't those people know there are a ton of people who do bed/sunless combos???

Yeah, and some lotions out now have self-activated tanners in them, and I've tried a couple, and liked them:0)!

I think the combination of the two make for an awesome tan as well. Also make sure you exfoliate your feet real well before doing both the tanning bed and the sunless, you'll have even more excellent results.

I'm glad that I am not the only one slightly annoyed by this.

I don't understand why they don't make people who choose to tan naturally welcome, why be so cold?

I don't understand it either.....
They claim because "A lot of members on sunless.com are there because they cannot used the beds/outdoors due to skin cancer, melanoma, etc, and they don't want to talk about tanning when they can't do it"

Surely Sunless.com have subject titles and topics... if you're not comfortable, just don't post in that topic.

I really like sunless tanners, its great for inbetween sessions of to darken you face or whatever... but frankly I dont care for sunless.com as a message board, its not busy enough.

LOL -- I had to laugh. I belonged to sunless.com and at the time, I liked it. I saw people post who did the tanning beds and if the word "tanning" or "bed" ever comes up -- you are not welcomed at all. You will get a lecture and then they will tell you to go find another board. Very rude.
all last year I did the sunless tanning thing and it's ALOT OF WORK. Your skin needs to be properly prepared. Exfoliated but, not too much.
My feet and hands never turned out right. It's an art form. And you have to find the right product for your skin. I went through SO many products! And spent alot of money doing it.
At the end of the year, my legs decided to get these weird streaks and spots. I couldn't get it off. Even with a tub soak and a baby oil session (what your supposed to do to get a mess OFF). I had to wear long pants in the hottest part of the year! It was just awful.
And if you go someplace like a pool or the beach and you go in the water... don't be surprised if you step out of the water steaked or white - LOL.
I wish I could post some of the articles I have read through this site over to them. But, it would not be accepted. If they would only read it.
Tanning is not BAD for you -- only if you do it wrong or misuse the sun. And don't take care of your skin.
I read an article today that was talking about vitamin D and how alot of people aren't getting what they should from the sun because they are constantly slathering on the 50spf sunscreen and afraid to not ever get anything.
There's pros and cons to everything.
As for me.... I'm going to the tanning bed this year. And I will take much better care of my skin.
A couple years ago I had a problem with heat rashes in the beds. But, I was going in the ruva beds and I might have been using a tingle lotion -- I really don't know. Unless you get the owner of the salon I go to, you're kind of on your own.

Wow it is old. Has it the site changed any since this post? Have the people gotten any friendlier and more receptive to new ideas and opinions about beds and tanning?

Wow it is old. Has it the site changed any since this post? Have the people gotten any friendlier and more receptive to new ideas and opinions about beds and tanning?I'm a member of sunless.com. The posting policy for that messageboard specifically states that no pro-UV posts can be made, and it has not changed. You can always post on that site with questions regarding sunless tanners, application, skincare etc as long as you don't mention UV tanning, and their members and moderators are always extremely knowledgable and helpful in answering questions.

I was actually the person that got kicked off of sunless.com for saying that I tanned indoors  I actually found this site through them, someone has posted a link to one of the threads here that they found to be appalling.

Just my opinion, but every site is entitled to run it how they see fit and it really is the responsibility of each member to read and abide by site policies. We've had many Iamtan members with impressive sunless tanning knowledge that participate/have participated with that site and they're awfully nice!

That sounds like some psycho's run that board. They are really angry at the UV tanning and also ban people if they mention it? Wow.

Rule: You must tan outside in the sun no more than 25 minutes and no less than 15 or you will be banned by your IP address and turned into the proper authorities. If you tan indoors using a bed, we will hunt you down and put a sign on your door that you tan with a fake sun. In closing, all your neighbors will point and laugh at you.

I've done tanning beds off and on, though more off over the last couple years... I do always start worrying about wrinkles and skin cancer, so I have just decided that for ME it is not worth the risks to tan... although a little natural sun always feels great... but, I have also posted on sunless.com, and not even ever mentioning UV tanning I've found that people there tend to be a bit rude... I tried to join their MSN photos club thing probably 3 or 4 times and they have all these dumb rules, and apparently I don't post often enough on sunless.com to be on the msn board and my msn name doesn't match my sunless.com name... well, I can't register the name "swedishbeauty" on hotmail/msn because it's taken... so yeah, just dumb stupid stuff that irritates me... it honestly makes me put a lot less stock in what they say because of how I've been treated... another thing a long time ago, when I had a different username, I posted a link to my modeling portfolio website and they told me I had to take the link out of my profile or they would delete my account because their site is for 'educational' purposes and schools/kids use it... well, yet there was a whole thread about brazilian waxes and stuff like that at the time that the same moderators took part in... I just couldn't believe how rediculous some of the stupid rules are... it's a good source of sunless tanning info, but I avoid posting there as much as possilbe

Because it's a sunless tanning website, if it allowed natural tanning talk on their it would be contradicting the name and purpose of the site, so I can see why she does it. I expect it's a very anti natural tanning site too.
