Now that the weather is getting warmer and we are spending more time outside... be careful not to overexpose your skin.

Tanning indoors is enough for your tan... if you go outside afterwards, remember to use an SPF to prevent sunburning (overexposure). Don't forget your face when you're playing outside. the delicate skin on your face looks nice TAN not RED!

I always have to be careful with this. I tan and then coach lacrosse... too much sun for this chica's skin.

oh and I forgot-- if you are red/pink anywhere.... take a day or 2 off from tanning until the pink goes away. Overexposed skin will not tan, it will just make matters worse.

I only have 2 more weeks of tanning left and I think I will be done indoor tanning until probably September. I am only 20 minutes from the beach so I think I will be just tanning outdoors for the summer.

One other thing that I can also mention that if you're already tan, overexposing yourself in the tanning bed (like going twice in one day to 2 separate salons) may not give you extra colour, but just thicken up your skin, making it harder to get darker. I've heard that from somewhere. Anyways, whether if you're tan or not, always use SPF outside.

Yes...A RED face is NOT TAN...
I hear people say this all the time at the Salon...

"I want to get a lil RED" ~NOT a good thing...

protect your face, and yourself!

yeah, I still can't believe that there are still some people that use the "you must get a little red to get tan" line. That also applies to tanning equipment too. Overexposure is baaad, mmkay.

I heard that JA SPF 8 Spray Oil is awesome... but my salon totally cleared out all JA and CalTan stuff. they are AG, CG, and SB exclusive now.

well my salon is pretty much Cal tan AG and SB and that's it and they only carry the Cal Tan SPF's i might trade in the oil for one of the low spf lotions

I was going to buy some more SPF for this weekend but it's cloudy and cold today and is supposed to rain all day tomorrow.

I feel bad for those poor fools who paid thousands of dollars for a rental.

that's a good question... I just sit out there for however long I have the free time to do so. Some days I'm at the beach for hours and others I'm there only for an hour or so...

I try to limit lying out to about an hour at a time. Right now I'm alternating with a day in the standup, next day a bit of outdoor sun, a day off (except for running or rollerblading), next day Orbit or Omega bed, etc.
