That statement from the FDA was quickly rescinded a few days after it was put out. They are under a lot of pressure by the the "pro-UV" people because sunless tanning is so big.

I think Lucy was asking what statement you are referring to, rather than the definition of rescind. Do you have some info or a site we can go to for more info about this? I would love to read about it.

It was re-worded July 1, 2003 due to confusion.
