I tingle will speed up the melanin production in your body. Here is pretty much what it comes down to..if you are outside running/mowing the lawn your lawn you'll tan much faster then you would just laying out. So this lotion is speeding up how fast your blood cirulates. IT DOES LEAVE REDNESS(only for about an hour) and can be a bit "tingly" when your just getting used to them. If your not sure if a tingle is right for you try out a sample or Ginger Spice or another mild tingle before jumping into a Tatoo Hot or other stronger tingle product.

I'm not really sure if "speeds up your melanin production" is the words you were looking for .........speeds up your microcirculation and therefore speeds up the whole tanning process, so I guess in the end it does speed up your melanin production.
HHHHmmmmmm....seems like I've heard that lawnmowing senario before....

it increases your circulation in the skin.... bringing more oxygen and everything else to help with melanin production (making a tan)... I've always heard it explained like this.... your "pressure points" are the ones where there is LESS circulation, due to pressure, and they are usually white. Tingles do the opposite, they INCREASE circulation to help build a darker tan faster.
Not everyone enjoys the tingle sensation... rest assured there are other ways to build a deep dark tan.

I enjoy tingles. However, I cannot use them too often, or my tan will develop a red look about it.

I like a slightly red look with a tan, but I guess more of a rosy overglow would be how to say it.
