I dunno if I put this in the right place, but I didn't think it would fit under tanning beds. Here it is. I went tanning, right. Ok, well I got all my lotion on and stuff and when I was done I hit the button to turn on the bed. When I hit it, the bed (well, it almost sounded like it came from the thing the button is on.. i think) made this awful sound like electric problem sounding. And all through the time I was tanning, I heard this buzzing sound. Was there something wrong with the bed? And has anything like this happen to you?

I've never heard that sound before when I press the button to turn on the bed, did you tell the salon employees?

No I didn't say anything. Once I got out, it really wasn't on my mind.

All i hear I when I press the button is the little beep telling me it's turning on. You really should mention it to the employees or have you might call them. There could be a serious electrical problem.

You mean IF you could hear over the sound of the bed(s), radio, etc???

One time I went in there, and the guy working there went "Ok, I had to move you to bed 4 because bed 6 is messed up" I was thinking 'thank goodness I wasn't in there when it messed up!' because they had assigned (assigned?? loL) me bed 6 earlier.

Could a bed really catch on fire??!!?! lol

There would have to be a serious electrical problem for it to catch fire... Anything could catch fire, your car, your cell phone, the monitor you're staring at right now... It's not really something you need to worry about.

Any time you find a problem with a bed whether it be a wierd noise, a lamp that did not light, or anything else... Be sure to tell the employee on duty so they can fix the problem.

I've never had that happen either...normally I just hear a beep when I press the button and that is it other than the sound of the unit turning on.

Your monitor wouldn't catch fire ~ it would explode (the gas in the tube). But it's okay, because you wouldn't know it happened.. hehehe

I've heard funny noises come from tanning beds before I don't know if it meant there was something wrong with the bed

At my salon one of the beds make an awful noise almost like a vibration the whole time that the bed is on
