I think the 'tingling' action - bringing blood to the surface of the skin or whatever it does it just bad for the more sensitive areas of your body (ie. face, upper chest, neck) because it can cause a bad reaction - or an unwanted one. I believe someone said they developed Rosacea from using a tingle on their face - so be careful.

I'll be sure not to put it on my face often. Thanks!

Yeah That happened to me. I was puttinh tingle on my face. WHY? in a nuttshell..... The skin on your face is very thin, the tingle bring the blood to the surface, and that could cause broken capaliaries.

You can put SOME tingle lotion on your face, like JA has a facial oil with a tingle 2.

I'm a tingle addict, but I stay away from the face, for all the reasons just mentioned, plus your eyes; I'd be really careful if you try it!

You can use what you want JA oil 2 or any other... Tingles are still not good for such thin skin. Just my presonal experience.[ This Message was edited by: Samsara26 on 2003-07-11 19:32 ]

I've done it several times, but generally do NOT put tingle on my face. I find that SB's Browning Silk is nice and doesn't cause me to break out, so that's good enough for me.

I don't put tingles on my face just because, my face tans w/out lotion, and I would think the tingle on my face would annoy the crap outta me.

I NEVER put tingle on my face. I don't want to walk around with a red face.

Tingle on the face is not worth the risk of the reaction you can get - I use a facial tanning lotion (Illuminate) because you do want to keep your face moisturized while tanning. surprisingly the owner of the salon I was just at this morning told me she always uses tingle on her face and lays in the bed backwards to tan her face better! I don't know - I'm a little more concerned about my face getting over exposure to do that.

I don't put tingles on my face, the one time I did it was an accident because I didn't know the lotion had a tingle - . BUT - if tingles aren't good for our facial skin, how can they be any better for all our other skin?

as we have said many times your facial skin is much THINNER than the rest of your skin. it's more delicate. this is why we have different facial cleansers/moisturizers and all that jazz if it wasn't any more delicate we could just use the same kind of stuff all over. it's like buying seperate stuff for your hair and not washing that with shower gel designed for your body.

I know I totally agree. I'm just wondering why its okay to use on the body but not the face. It must not be good for the body skin either. Just my opinion.

with your body skin being thicker it's not bad for it. the only reason its bad for your face is cus of roseca and that. the skin stimulation is good for your skin
I've never used a tingle on my face. I learned better here!

The one time I did use a tingle on my face was because I didn't know Sultry Sexy Tan had a tingle! I bought a sample, and I thought to myself..."wow, these bulbs must be strong if i'm burning after 1 minute!"

I only tan 1-2 times a month, if that I usually use a tingle or a bronzer, or a combination.

You should NEVER use tingles on your face. The skin on your face is much too thin! The increase blood flow can cause your capillaries to break, it can cause roseacea, or give you a permanent red face!!

Using a tingle on the face should be considered - At Your Own Risk. It even looks like it hurts.
