new tanning salon

I was wondering if someone could help me, I have recently moved to Oregon, Portland area and need a place to tan any recommendations?

Yeah I always looked at the ads in the back. It's actually really fun! I can't wait to get the new phonebooks. LoL.

Well, the last time I looked in the phonebook, I saw a nice ad for a salon. Bought my package, got in the bed, it was filthy. Lotion everywhere. That's not all, two of the lamps were out. I told the girl at the counter on the way out, very niecely. She says, I know I tanned in it two days ago. Hello!!! Everytime I went there the beds had dust bunnies, lotion smears all over, the lamps were out. And it was supposed to be a nice salon. I will never pick a salon out of the phonebook. Word of mouth is the best

I would do some in-person shopping around. You'll get a first hand look at what's available and learn your way around the city!

I also tracked down what was available and went in person to talk to the people and asked to see the beds and if you get an opportunity even strike up a conversation with some clients and get their opinion.

Go to Smart Tan's website and click on "salon finder"; because then you will have a better chance of them being a reputable and knowledgable salon.

And you should have a good list of hard questions to ask...I'd be surprised if you now know more than many salon employees!

I agree Anya1976 and I know more than these girls in the salon and I am new to tanning, how sad is that. What are these owners thinking when they hire some of these girls!?!?!
