I find that tanning dries out the soles of my feet and especially my heels..... I like to apply a moisturizing cream at night before bed and then put on a pair of socks... I wake up in the morning with soft feet! My current favorite foot lotion is the Burts Bees Coconut Foot Creme. awesome results and a nice scent too!

well i bought a home pedicure set a few years ago (actually i got it for christmas) it's got the callous scraper and the cheese grater lookin thingy with a smoothing stick on the other side a toe nail file toe nail clippers and i keep a pumice stone in the shower (along with the cheese grater thingy) and if i am in there awhile (which happens when i wash my hair) i rub my feet with the stone and the grater... i only use the scrapper if my feet are reeeally bad (like cus i have walked around barefoot all the time *which i do*) and i have philosophys sole mate pm that is great for feet i just never remember to put it on at night lol

This is so wierd! If I don't put sunblock on my heels or put a towel under my feet they get sunburned badly too. I don't burn anywhere else but my heels and it itches horribly! I don't understand why only my heels burn when the rest of my body is laying on the acrylic just as close to the bulbs?

I got this foot file and a pumis stone I use every day after my shower. Plus these 2 foot moisturizers by Avon I adore. I havent had the guts to try anything I can buy in a store since this stuff works so good. I have noticed my feet drying out more since I have been tanning more though.

I use a foot cream by Avon (I forget the name), it's really thick almost the consistency of vaseline & works very well. Their peppermint cooling stuff is awesome too.

Maybe your feet are burning from the heat of the acrylic. Try moving them around and changing the position they are in. Maybe you are leaving them in the same position for too long on the acrlyic and that's why they are burning. Also the bottom of your feet don't have any melanin so they will just burn. Since your body has melanin it can tan and not just burn on the acrylic like your feet do.

Wow, I never knew that feet don't have melanin. I don't move my feet at all because I usually fall asleep everytime I tan. Thanks.
