Actually Melty, clear alcohols (vodka, champagne, etc.) are very low in carbs. It's what you tend to mix them with that does the carb damage.

I tried Atkins and I lasted for like 2 days..... I tried it on Thursday and Friday... and by Friday night I was going out for beers. It would be a great diet if beer was allowed. I could handle the eggs, cheese, meat, etc... but I missed my cold beverages on the weekend.
