Max sat at the same table we did at the Heartland seminar.He is so down to earth you would never know he was the CEO of a big company.I thought he was bs-ing me.(I'm from Missouri-you gotta show me)I even told him something to the effect of "You're just a flunky here working while your boss is laying around a pool or at a beach somewhere."He
gave me a business card & I still didn't believe him.He got up to go do something & said,"I better go call my mom & make sure I still own the company."A salon owner at the table was telling my under his breath that Max was full of it so that didn't help to convince me.When he left that salon owner starts laughing & said that it really had been Max Recone.I felt like an idiot but it was sure a hoot!!!!We were laughing while it was going on.I would have never thought he would come himself but would send someone.

I know the CalTan CEO. His name is Max Recone. He is a nice person.

I've only heard positive things about Max Recone.

Max seems like a very nice man, I don't know him very well at all but I did spend some time with him in February of 2003 at a trade show put on by a distributor. I got to play some pool with him and talk business. He seems very interested in making Cal Tan the player it should be in the industry and make a profit at the same time. I have no problem with either issue. He wants his company to be successful and he wants tanners to relate to his products and shake up his product offerings. He has a big job to do in a tough industry with some real issues to deal with but I hope he does well.
