My friend is light skinned and loves the savage bronze deep/dark (one coat)- I'm using vitaskin by banana boat dark lotion. Never do more than one application until the color fully develops - it takes quite a few hours to see the color- I always do it at night so by morning the color is developed. If you use too much you could turn orange!

And its safe for the face???

If your naturally light skinned, I would try Banana Boat Soft Medium Blend. Just make sure to apply everywhere (eye lids and around eyes, kneck-both front and back, nose, don't miss a spot!). Also, don't put it on your ears. just go around them. Remember to wash your hands with soap and water when you're done.

If you really want a good face tanner then try Derm Renew Facial Tanner
Quote:
Derm Renew Self-Tanner with Vita Sphere is your skin’s new lease on life. Dermatologist tested, this self-tanner provides a radiant, natural looking tan.
This perfectly balanced lotion is hydra enriched with vita sphere technology that encapsulates essential anti-oxidants, pinpointing needed moisturization leaving skin replenished, refreshed and beautifully bronzed.
This moisture rich self-tanner is a non-streaking formula, clear non-staining, natural looking color with a clean light fresh fragrance. The color range falls into the medium category.
It can be bought at a professional salon or directly from Formulated (IF no salons in your area carry this)
This product will by far produce much superior results than Banana Boat.

BriansBunny - Don't waste your money on $20.00 + self tanners. If you really want to spend that kind of money, then I would reccomen Au Courant Sunless Tanning Mousse, for about $25.00. That is one of the best sunless tanners all around - fading, color, moisturizing. If you want to spend that kind of money, I would get Au Courant. Check out www.sunless.com for reviews on it.

BriansBunny - I am talking to my friend now that is an st pro - She has tried all the expensive brands down to the drugstore brands and has found savage bronze to be the best color for her skin type which is similar to yours - I was wrong before about the color savage bronze only comes in the one color and gives her a nice brown tan. Using a superior brand doesn't always mean superior results. Savage Bronze can be purchased at Sally's Beauty Supply. The Banana Boat that tanningcrazy recommended alos got very High Reviews by people with your skin type. If your only looking for a facial tanner which is the easiest part to do you don't need to do a special order till you know if you like it and want to try other products.

Clarins for the face is amazing. I'm not a huge fan of the all-over, but the face lotion is fool proof. No streaking and great color.

where do you get clarins???How much is it...I dont want to order anything..I need it NOW.

I cannot use Clarins - it streaks all over me!
The best self-tanner I've ever used is by Alba Botanicals. It's about $8.00 at Whole Foods. I love it! Here's a review for it:

You can get Clarins at almost any makeup counter in the mall, foley's dillard's that type of store . Ask and they may have samples of the sunless products.

You can go to sunless.com and check out all the reviews on all the different self tanners and then make a decision before spending too much money on something that many not work for you. Good Luck

I have used the Clarins and it gave me nothing in the way of color. But every Clarins counter should have samples-they are VERY good about having samples; if they don't try another Clarins counter.
Lancome makes a fabulous bronzer (not self tanner) that ROCKS! Of course, I don't use it now that I am tan, but it is wonderful-no streaking, very natural tan color etc. Check out their "Flash Bronzer" for the face. Comes in several colors too

If your not interested in a "Professional" product then we should move this thread to the tanners den. I only help with Professional Products.

Ok Great.. We can help then... Formulated Solutions Derm Renew Facial Tanner is a really great product.. It is a clear formula and is streak free. I also recommend for some quick color Matahari Lustrous (bronzing product).. You need to apply this in circles and be especially careful with your neck line. In addition you can add California Tan's Suddenly Sun Bronzing Powder ... For me this one is a must have... I fill in any lines around my neck and use it all over the face for awesome color...

For those of you whose posts were moderated... It was done because BriansBunny is looking for a professional product. Not an over the counter. She posted in Ask the Pros not ask the over the counter solution... Please respect this forum and it intended use. Thank you.

First of all TikiTan, if you're going to say you deleted these posts because they were "over the counter" sunless tanners, then DO THAT and ONLY THAT. Don't be a hypicrit. You deleted my suggestion for Banana Boat, which I understand because its an "over the counter" s/t. but don't delete my other post reccomding Au Courant because THAT SURE ISNT AN OVER THE COUNTER PRODUCT. you see how many posts you deleted? geez, all we're tryin to do is help!

Mine was deleted and all I said was that Clairins products are sold at department stores such as Dillar's or Foley's . That's not a website or anything regarding purchasing tanning products anywhere besides a salon. Perhaps this thread should be moved to the Skin Care Forum.
All I was doing was answering a question and do not feel that my post should have been deleted.

I really don't think moderating these posts was necessary. They were merely trying to help someone who asked a simple question.

Name one professional tanning salon that sells this product, that knows how this product works... Then and only then would I be a hypicrit

That was my original thought which is why I posted:

But I got the response:

You guys just like to pick a fight.. I asked the appropriate question prior to moderating the posts.

I agree with TikiTan and the Derm Renew by Formulated Solutions, another one that I have recently tried it the "Big O" by Designer Skin which is also a great self-tanner for the face!

I wasn't trying to start a fight, I did not know that only Pro's could respond to questions in this forum or I would not have .
