View Full Version : Will sunless tanner block me from getting a real tan??

Hi!! This is my first post on this site, so it's nice to 'meet' everyone.
I have been sunless tanning for a few months now. I decided to do a combination of sunless and tanning beds for this summer so I can get nice and dark.
So far, I've gone to a High Pressure bed 3 times, all last week. The bed is one of those that has the mattress you lay on, and you flip halfway through to tan your backside.
My question is this: It's about time for me to reapply my sunless tanner since it's pretty much all gone from my hands right now, and my hands appear white, like I haven't used the tanning bed at all. My stomache looks red/brown. I haven't applied any sunless tanner to my stomache, so I was wondering if the sunless tanner on my skin is blocking me from getting a tan. Does anyone know?

No, it will not block the tanning bed rays unless you have applied an SPF sunless tanner the same day you go tanning.

Welcome to the board Mrs. White..it is nice to have you. Just as starry said...unless you are using any type of lotions with a sunblock in them then you should be fine.
